as a mike stan I will continue to love him. the writers abysmally fucked up when it came to his character, there was so much they could've fleshed out that they didn't. even beyond byler, he experienced so much grief in the earlier seasons and then had to witness half his family getting taken out one by one. and we barely got to see him express his emotions regarding that trauma. we were robbed of his pov for 3 whole seasons only to get a few crumbs of it in the epilogue that still wasn't good enough. we don't even see him get proper closure, he just has to convince himself that el is still out-there as he re-experiences his post s1 trauma. the only thing you need to know about me is that I will always defend him because I know he deserved to have his story told by better writers and I will die on that hill.
