"Heya, kiddo! ‘s there any reason you’ve been starin’ at me for so long?” 

Bendy could sense their presence from a mile away. The minute the two of them made eye contact, Bendy realized - they couldn’t have been more than ten years old. Maybe twelve at the oldest, but he was rather surprised to be seeing a child running around with adult supervision...! Or maybe times have just changed, he did come from the late 20s, after all. 

Mirai let out a long sigh. This was the fifth time she had opened the fridge, as if opening it and staring at the sad looking contents would make something new appear. Her stomach grumbled loudly, aching for a good meal, but with few ingredients, questionable cooking skills, and currency she wasn’t familiar with, she had very few options. After another sigh, she carefully examined the fridge once more. There were some eggs and cheese, both of which were seemingly okay, so she finally settled for a simple omelette. It couldn’t be that hard... 

As soon as she closed the fridge door, Mirai immediately met eyes with a young girl who had been standing behind it and she jumped back in surprise.

Now that you’re wearing the clothing you were provided with—jeans and a tshirt, you think the terms are—you can pull your feet up into the bench you’re occupying. Arms wrapped your legs, you’ve been content to simply watch the world and people go by for awhile.

But you aren’t using the Crystal to regulate your body right now, so inevitably you’re hungry after awhile; once that would have been a nuisance, but after feeling nothing for so long you’re happy for the reassurance that you’re improbably alive. 

Knowing nothing of this Sector, you look around for advice and spot a child headed your way. “Ah, I don’t mean to trouble you.” You offer a very genuine smile; meeting new people is a pastime you’ve always enjoyed. “But do you happen to know where a good place to eat around here might be?”

“Uh, hey! Excuse me!”

Max couldn’t exactly say that he was too thrilled being thrust into an unfamiliar place so suddenly, surrounded by people who were giving him an odd look - did he look funny? He didn’t know. 

     He really didn’t like waiting in lines, but now he absolutely had to.

A new game had been released just a day ago: An RPG that would soon be one of Tomura’s new favorite games. Usually he tried to ignore the hype, but this time it was different. This title allowed the player character to not only be evil if they so wished, but realistically so. It was refreshing and, to him, worth actually paying for.

However, the line he was in right now wasn’t very refreshing. He was stuck, waiting on people who complained about something even Tomura considered petty, insignificant bullshit. Thanks to this nonsense, the line had grown out of proportion and got him trapped with one of his worst enemies: Social conventions.

At least he wasn’t the only one in line who wanted to buy this game; the child in front of him also held a copy in their hands. Now, if there was anything the villain really couldn’t care less about it was age ratings, but the fact that a kid could just buy this game, which contained plenty of gruesome violence among other things, was kind of jarring.

        Skeletor could tell this was a strong one. This civilian gave off the most furious sense of determination, more furious than any Skeletor had met before. The child sported a small bowl haircut, almost similar to He-Man himself, but seemed much more calm and much less stupid than He-Man. Skeletor approached the child, lifting them up, bringing the child’s squinted eyes up to lock with his sockets. 

Are they sleeping...? Why is their eyes closed? Is it possible to sleep standing up or is that just a myth?

“Um...Hello?”

—-[♕] He still does not know what force brought these people to this place. Nor does he know about the strange magic which runs this city. But when he sees children running about, looks of terror on some and complacent acceptance on others, he cannot fathom why.

        That child... is too young to suffer here.

But he does not extend a hand to this stranger. No, he has other goals, other goals which propel him forward through these smoke-laced streets. He must find the truth of this place, the truth of that woman, Ren Gyokuen, and her presence here. Still, the child meets his gaze; they have caught him in the act of staring as he sorts his thoughts.
