Today I propose to y'all a crack theory about Adorabat's family.
If you look closely in the background of the dungeon during Fright Wig, you can see this symbol on one of the pillars.
At first it looks like an ordinary heart-themed symbol of royalty, right? Look carefully at the shapes.
There's a diamond dead in the center,
The hearts have a vague spade shape to them due to the dots surrounding them,
And if you remove the bottom heart it looks vaguely like a club, or at least a four leaf clover if you keep the heart.
Now, where have we seen those symbols?
Now here's where my theory comes in–
Adorabat's family is descended from the ORIGINAL ruler of Pure Heart Valley.
I know, it sounds crazy! But think about it.
From what we see of Eugene and Sonara's household, they're obviously a higher class than the rest of the Sweetypies. While this could be because of Sonara's job working with gems & Eugene working triple shifts, there's no way they got a fancy mansion on the very edge of the Valley with that alone. They have to have had some sort of connections with royalty.
In Zing Your Heart Out, the Heart tells Adorabat to overthrow Snugglemagne and rule Pure Heart Valley forever. Now, why would the Heart tell her to do something like that? While it could be the corruption caused by Orangusnake, we know for one Orangusnake wants to take the Heart itself, not Pure Heart Valley. So possible influence by Orangusnake is off the list. Plus, when the Heart "whispers" to Adorabat we hear multiple voices overlapping, not just one or two. Here's what I think it might be:
Adorabat's ancestors were the original rulers or Pure Heart when it was first founded. Whether it was a monarchy or parliament, idk. However, the rulers did something that the other Sweetypies didn't appreciate, so they wanted to overthrow them. Snugglemagne's ancestors used the power of the Ruby Pure Heart to seal the corrupt rulers inside the Heart, but left their non-corrupt relatives alone.
The non-corrupt relatives, Adorabat's ancestors, were forced to step down from power as the Snugglemagne family became the new rulers of Pure Heart. While they didn't have as much power as they did before, they are still a higher class than the rest of the Sweetypies and can seek jobs in the castle. These relatives eventually branched off from each other, eventually leading to the Adorabat family we know and love today.
The voices Adorabat hears telling her to take over Pure Heart are actually those trapped past rulers, who want revenge on Snugglemagne for what his family did to them and for Adorabat to earn back her rightful title as king.
So where does Lucky come in? Here's why - he's the reincarnation of one of Adorabat's ancestors. Either:
1. One of the non-corrupt relatives that helped the Snugglemagnes overthrow the corrupted rulers, and was reincarnated as a thanks for protecting the Valley, or
2. A corrupt ruler that escaped from the Snugglemagnes, and wished for reincarnation.
Either way, no one knows of his connection to Adorabat's family. Yet.
Will this be expanded upon in Season 2? Who knows? But I think it's a really intriguing concept!
