The downside to getting a birthday card:

One could be was from my estranged grandmother (my mother’s mother)

Said ‘birthday card’ was a fascinating intricate, five sentence guilt trip that included variations of: ‘But we miss yoooouuuuu’; ‘Are we ever going to see you again??!!!’; and, last, but not least: ‘You know we’re like, over eighty, so....yeah, better come see us soon....or...you know....I could be dead...oh and we’re still in quarantine, thanks, byeeee’

My initial desire for responding to said estranged family member’s emotional blackmail:

1) Punch a hole through the wall (Did not do so, since I need my fingers intact for typing, crafting, and taking care of my beautiful baby girl who’s new favorite word is ‘Lala-yellow’ :D :D )

2) Fire off an email with something along the lines of: ‘Well, I’m thirty-two, and I could be dead six times over because insane people tried to kill me before I was five, so wadda think about them apples?’ (Also did not do, mostly because I have already blocked her email, phone, and I’m off of Facebook, and I do not have the spoons to undo those safeguards)

3) Go through the usual three days of a) anger b) sadness and c) exhaustion whenever that stuff gets pulled, which I did, and...you know what? It’s still rough, but it’s way better than it used to be.

Plus side: I now have some cash I wasn’t expecting. Going to go use that for something nerdy. Not sure what yet, but it’s gonna be good.

I’m trying to get Dom, and I enjoy making life hard for myself am stubborn so I wanna do it myself. I used 45 tickets with no luck, but grinding more miles is gonna be tough. SHOULD I:

A. Stop being a baby and grind out the miles, or
