QUESTIONS I’VE BEEN ASKED:

1. What topic/person/show/whatever appears on your blog the most often? Topics that appear on my blog frequently are human rights issues (feminism, people of color, LGBTQIA, etc), anything Old Hollywood, literature, international pop culture, psychology, music, art, and history. I sound like a real connoisseur, don’t I?

2. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? Initially, I didn’t understand this question, but I do now. Umm…25, I suppose? I would have to think about that one more thoroughly.

3. If happiness was currency, what job would make you filthy rich? Any job that would involve one or more (ideally, ALL) of my interests that I mentioned in Question #1. Basically, I want my own creative empire, a la Oprah Winfrey or Seth MacFarlane.

4. What’s something you know separates you from most people? One thing is my ambition. I seem to have a knack for getting whatever I want, even guys at school I’ve liked. I know that I’m intelligent, have good taste, and a sense of humor that revels in its weirdness. I’m friendly and I’m brutally honest to the point that I’m incapable of telling anything beyond a white lie. If I can lie to you (in person), you’re probably stupid or can’t read even the most basic signs that somebody is lying to you.

5. What is your favorite curse word? My favorite curse word would probably be motherfucker or anything involved with the word “fuck”. I might want to be Samuel L. Jackson. I have a Jessie Pinkman infatuation with the word “bitch”, and I think “asswipe” is an underutilized insult.

6. Write a tweet to yourself 5 years ago. (140 characters only!) You’re going to experience tough shit, but you will survive and thrive.

7. You win the lottery. What is the first selfish thing you buy (after taxes and bills and giving to charity)? Books and the entire Criterion Collection, or Hulu Plus, which has the entire Criterion Collection. P.S. Have you seen the prices for a Criterion DVD? Regular DVDs are fucking Blu-Ray prices! However, they do have an insane amount of special features, so I’m sure there is a fabric of reason behind that. Sucks for consumer like me, though, that DON’T have a Hulu account.

8. You just won a trip for two anywhere in the world. Where do you go and who do you take with you? I would take a Grand Tour around Europe with my brother. The rest of my family probably wouldn’t appreciate Europe as much as my brother and I would. I would DEFINITELY go to the UK, France (It would be AMAZING to go inside Serge Gainsbourg’s house, which has stayed almost EXACTLY THE SAME since his death in 1991.), Italy, The Netherlands (Anne Frank House, red-light districts, and smoking pot legally), Germany (Oktoberfest), and Finland (My brother is a HUGE Finniphile. Yes, I just made that word up.). Obviously, I would visit as much of the historical landmarks as I could, being the HUGE History Buff that I am. I thought that would (mostly) go without saying.

9. What is your personal mantra? "If you can get your foot in the door, you might get your booty in the house." That’s going to be my Yearbook quote. DON’T STEAL IT, ya hacks!

10. What do you pretend not to know? As I mentioned, I am brutally honest, especially with myself. I can’t think of anything that I am in denial about. Then again, I could be in denial of THAT fact, at least. :-)

11. What movie, music, TV show, book, and website always improves your mood?

Movie— House (1977), Beyond the Valley of the Dolls

Music— Serge Gainsbourg, Astrud Gilberto, 1940s Big Band, 1960s French Pop, Electropop (NOT the same thing as that drivel Dubstep), 1990s Grunge (Surprisingly. Dark stuff, but it gets me pumped like a mofo), and Classic Rock.

TV Show— Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). One of the fandoms I am more involved with on Tumblr.

Book— Books in general cheer me up, even the depressing ones. They’re fucking BOOKS, and they are the fucking shit!

Website—Tumblr is my Internet home and has EVERYTHING I need! I wouldn’t be on this website if I didn’t enjoy it so damn much!

I mean, you're friendly, so I'm friendly back, because I'm a polite person and all.

How, HOW COME PEOPLE ALWAYS ASSUME I'M CRAZY FOR THEM? WHY?!

I mean, women are literally trained up to be friendly and docile and smiling, so it's not even like "You obviously must like me if you're friendly", because we're SUPPOSED TO BE FRIENDLY, IF WE'RE NOT FRIENDLY WE'RE AWFUL HARPIES IN DIRE NEED OF A FUCK.

Or en worse, work in a job where you have to be friendly to even the biggest ass!

What am I supposed to do?!

If I'm merely polite i'm a cold bitch.

If I'm grumpy and rude I'm a rude bitch.

If I'm polite and friendly guys assume I want them or give them a free pass to touch me. And God help me if I refuse tem. What are we supposed to do, shut up, be silent and...
