Today, I’m grateful for the combination of: the chance decision to stop into Flow 93.5 circa 2002 with a greedy baby in tow, and the frozen yogurt craving that conspired with the universe to have you return just as I exited the building, on a day you should have been long gone - in the process granting me: one of the few I've known (known) less than 20 years who can claim the word friend; one of my most trusted confidants; a source of unlimited laughter; unmoderated honesty; a true cheerleader; someone who ALWAYS wishes the best for me whether we speak 7 times daily or monthly, according to our revolving schedule (and with whom neither time nor space skips a beat); someone to share my deepest thoughts, fears, hopes and secrets with (without judgement or chance or recourse) [and I pray you know all of these are equally reciprocated] - part of the blueprint from which I molded my daughter and partial creator of my image of a great Black woman; a teacher and quotable creator and taker of space in my knowledge bank; connector of dots; opportunity watcher outter for-er; member of a three way friendship which seldom speak as 3; and part owner of credit to my success; the camo wearer; the big daddy Kane, little daddy Shane overdoer; my true and prototype friend, Jem.
