Yes I know it’s been a while BUT THIS ONE IS GOOOOOOD

So I’ve actually tried to delve into this a bit but I haven’t been able to find all the info I needed. BUT IT LEAD ME TO A HEADCANON BASED ON MOSTLY CANON FACTS SO HEAR ME OUT MY LOTAL HOBBIT FANS!!!

This rant is about the Dwarven Lords

So from context I’ve gained is the 7 dwarf lords who got the rings which included the Durin’s aka the kings of the Dwarves. As well as Thorin at the beginning of the Hobbit speaking about conferring with all seven kingdoms.

We know that includes the Iron Hills which Dain is the Lord of.

So hear me out.

Thorin is the King of the Dwarves.

The other kingdoms of Dwarves are ruled by Lords (and Ladies) including Dain.

Which leads me wanting to design all seven Kingdoms and the differences in the Dwarves from each of them

IF ANYONE HAS IMPUT I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE TO HEAR IT!!!

Ik this isn’t lore accurate but idc I digress.

Imagine Dain and his wife Frera. Queen of the Iron Hills with King Consort Lord Dain at her side.

Imagine Dain with his ginger greyish hair, Erebor blue eyes and the tattoos on his forehead, the cuffs and beads in his hair and his scar wearing heavy cloaks and jewellery too.

Then him next to his wife, the Queen with dark skin, dreadlocks and beard braids weaved with metal and gems, furs and royal reds to contrast the Erebor blues, her piercing red eyes and tattoos and paint on her skin, piercings and most of all.

Hogs are Iron Hills steeds, Rams we’re Erebor’s.

Dain wears golden Hog Tusks in his beard. Frera wears Rams Horns adorned in silver in her hair.

Tehe this is going to be fun.

(I also like it cause it makes sense why he was called Lord Dain and not King Dain, also the fact that he ruled over Erebor while he still had the Iron Hills that he was responsible for)

My online bestie dropped some OC lore that hit me like a shotgun to the face so I whipped this up 👹

I like to think the name Frera is the feminine version of Frerin, hence how he was named. Thorin was stuck with a hand-me-down seeing as he is the heir apparent Thorin II, Dis means sorrow and I kinda think perhaps she had a twin that didn't make it.
