Every month we choose a specific country or region to focus on, to broaden our scope of musical reviewing. For this month we have chosen the Baltic region. For Day 5 Yari introduces the Lithuanian Afrobeats group, Ojibo Afrobeat.
Coming from Vilnius, Ojibo Afrobeat released Frequenseas on 23 June 2023 - the first Lithuanian Afrobeats album. Our partner site Afrobeats City often talks about the growing popularity of Afrobeats and Frequenseas is a testament to that. It's a funkified, saxy album full of good times and chill vibes that's a testament to the genre.
