Exclusivity: I never like it. When I joined the KH fandom, exclusivity meant that I couldn’t play one of my muses with one of my best friends. Not because the other version of the muse clicked so well with them, either. They seemed to be sorry they couldn’t play with me, but the other mun was notoriously insecure about duplicates. I feel like that’s usually why exclusivity happens, and as someone who’s dealt with a lot of insecurity over duplicates, that really doesn’t work. It only makes a lot of people feel like they’re not good enough, or worse, like the fandom isn’t friendly to new players.

On the other hand, I am totally in favor of being exclusive with relationships. That is, not duplicating the same line with the same muse. Like, I won’t have another Xigbar besides @asiifisms be Roxas’s teacher of the Keyblade, or another Xigbar besides yours be his intermediary with Xemnas. That’s because in such a case two muses would be “competing” for the same ideas and plots, and that’s not fair to anyone.

Such terror was seized as motivation for the keybearer who tore through the last of the offending hoard of Heartless. More hearts protected by a crystalline shroud made their way back to their rightful owners. A steadfast grip remained upon the legendary weapon as he watched them, basking in the mixture of relief and anticipation. Those golden eyes that lingered within the depths wouldn’t tear their presence away from his adventuring heart.

Not when he was a potential target, not when he could very well be aligned with a side who aimed to pit him against the people he loves.

There had been a reason why Sora hadn’t allowed the Kingdom Key to be dispersed in a gentle luminescence. Instincts coined as his gut feeling screamed and all for good reason. The risks tied with running solo were well recognized. Just as he remained upon the hunt for those tied by Xehanort’s hand, they were likely equally as eager to keep their notes polished in order to apply them at that decisive moment. Not this time, not anymore. He had to become an unanticipated wild card within his own style.

“Funny. Never remembered saying this sort of company was the kind I wanted to have around.” His voice echoed with etched resolve to what seemed like nothing. However remembrance of this presence through their multiple encounters made him well aware.

A sharpshooter’s eye was truly impossible to avoid.
