Another project from the UFO (unfinished objects) pile done! 3 years ago or thereabouts I wanted to sew a mori kei inspired skirt from this gorgeous printed patchwork fabric.

Two little pouches with zippers I've made recently. The patchwork one is in preparation for a swap with my friend Wusi (she makes something for me and I make something for her in exchange). The fabrics are all scraps with history. From the turquoise one with the red flowers I've made a dress I really like. The turquoise-blue one with swirls and kinda sakura-esque flowers I bought on holiday in Japan. The one with berries and hearts are scraps from a pair of shorts I made for summer (well only cut it out, haven't actually sewn it yet). And the blue one with many flowers and light blue one with dark flowers are from a fabric scrap swap - used them for a bigger patchwork project once.
The second pouch is for my aunt. That fabric is a remnant from my childhood. Must have bought it when I was around 13 years old or something, on holiday in Styria no less. (I'm 32 now in case anyone is wondering.) I sewed a totebag from that fabric back then - per hand, didn't trust the machine yet. It has a long shoulder strap. I still have it and it's cute. I'm thinking of maybe revamping it a bit to honour child me and use it again (instead of just hanging on to it).
