We Were Born with the Power to Overcome
There are many things in a man’s life that competes for his attention. We can start from something as small as what to wear to something as big as what career steps to take. It seems that our decision to direct our attention to something is always influenced by our needs and wants.
I have always wondered if this is how it is supposed to be seeing that many of my failed decisions resulting to bad experiences were the byproduct of where I chose to fix my attention. The world in its glory and tempting treasures may tempt a man to completely forget his needs and delve in the lust of what he wants even if such things are going harm him. Our wants can be a mixture of our desires and yearnings. Sadly, these are also the strings to pull if we are to self destruct. Many people including myself have in one way or another tried to pull such strings in the attempt to have at least a feeling of what it’s like to have what we want regardless of the means to attain it.
We are indeed imperfect people but there is this power deeply buried within our imperfections that strives to reveal itself. This power, I may call Potential as it really is and appears to be. A window to endless possibilities lies within our soul and by the values I was brought up with can only describe this as something God has placed in me.
While it is true that we tend to bring destruction on ourselves, poisoning our being by things we choose to focus on, our very antidote is also stored in the very same vial where the poison was brewed. If the wolf who wins is the one that is fed then what better way to overcome imperfection than by feeding potential.
We win the moment we realize we are the answer.
