"If you go through the conduit to your left, you should find seven wires that lead to the induction port" Hank’s voice crackled over the radio, and Scott gave Eric a shove in the correct direction.
Eric purposefully dragged his feet, which sent up little sparks on the metal mesh they walked over. Scott thought about stopping to scold him, but they just didn’t have the time. If they were both electrocuted by ambient static electricity then it would be all O’Grady’s fault that the world had exploded before they could rewire the doomsday machine.
"Now you must time this perfectly, or the auto-lock will engage and this entire mission will be for nothing. You must simultaeously unplug the rightmost blue wire and the—" A burst of static interrupted the transmission.
Scott banged on his helmet to make the hissing stop. “Repeat that again?”
Scott glared at Eric, who shrugged back. ”I think he said this one.” He pointed to the large red wire in front of him.
Scott had many doubts. “Are you sure?”
"Yeah, well, I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?"
