Italian pilot Livio Bassi (October 8, 1918 – April 2, 1941) and his Fiat G.50 "Freccia" fighter. During combat operations in Albania and Greece, Bassi claimed six aerial victories.
On February 20, 1941, his aircraft was shot down in combat with British Hurricane fighters over Greece. He suffered severe wounds and burns, from which he later died in the hospital. 1941
