The best word to describe what like. "Species" he is would be to call him a zombie I guess. Hes undead. Think kinda like Micheal Afton style. The main difference is that the guy that was alive is not there anymore. Mika's conciousness is like the body got like a factory reset, the old person is gone. For simplicity I call the old person Alex, but I hope its clear that this is still like, a fictional version based on the real guy not actually him.

I go back and forth on weither or not I want to go with the idea that they're technically the same person, Mika has just forgotten pretty much everything about his old life. Up to interpretation I suppose. But regardless I think Mika is somewhat like haunted by this and feels really anxious about the fact that he doesn't know who Alex was, or why he exists in this body. He has no childhood, no family, scattered vauge memories.

As for why? I havent like thought deeply about details but I think Alex intentionally did something to give himself a sort of rebirth post mortem. He was very unhappy and struggled alot and was looking for an escape. Mika is the result of Alex wishing not to suffer. But ofcourse Mika does not know this, he feels like hes stealing something that doesn't belong to him. I guess ive been vauge but like. Am I allowed to straight up say Alex killed himself? I guess I might as well, I think future things that I make will make that alot more obvious. Theres alot of characters you can compare this whole idea to the one that just crossed my mind, if theres any houseki no kuni heads out there, I think the "relationship" between Alex and Mika would be sorta similar to Lapis and Phos. But ya I dunnor theres no like grand story here really just playing dolls and toys with a nearly 30yo man you know how it is ✌️
