I keep going back to this song, "Bless the Telephone " that N shared AFTER L's Italy trip(at least, I think that was the timing) and these lyrics, of course stand out the most:

We know how he feels. We have been known, BUT I always thought of her being more guarded about it and believe she was repressing her feelings too. UNTIL this song was shared by her( do not believe it's random) Something shifted behind closed doors between them after that Italy trip. I think it was something GREAT. And I'm supposed to believe those lyrics aren't referring to Luke Newton?! They only fit him, IMO. It's the only thing that makes sense and then you throw in the other little clues posted in that same time frame. The woman was in her feels and wanted to share, but not too much and never confirming anything. That may not come for while, which is fine. They deserve their privacy as the relationship grows.
And as far as professionalism goes, I think it's the right time for them to finally be TOGETHER. Their season as leads is done. The pressure is off to carry the main romantic story. Perhaps, they are also just tired of waiting to let their feelings be FELT. And I love the fact that they already have the years of friendship first. Nic did say that's the best because you really KNOW each other. No pretending. Just can 💯 % be yourself. And I think some time during the tour, L also came around to this way of thinking. And after he left his friends Italy trip.(which i think some major shit went down that changed the dynamics of that group 🤔👀)They got on the same page. It became MUTUAL.
Now for a bit of petty - suck it, jackholes(my nickname for the jakolas) the narrative you're trying to be spread( I never believed in it anyway) is not getting me down or gonna make me stop believing in Luke/Nic. IMO, that's the REAL love story in the making. Or already been made. 🥰
