Headcanon: Frank and Eddie announce their new relationship status at a neighbourhood picnic. For the most part, it goes well. Everyone seems to be surprised but happy for them. Except for one neighbour, whose been frighteningly silent:
Eddie: *rubbing the back of his neck* Heya Wally!
Wally: *looks up from his apple* Hi Eddie. Hi Frank.
Frank: *clears throat awkwardly* We just wanted to make sure you were... okay with everything.
Wally: *his smile lessens, seemingly confused* What do you mean?
Eddie: Oh, geez, it's just that you are a wonderful friend and neighbour. And we were just hoping you don't think any less of us-
Wally: *even more confused* Why would I?
Frank: *delicately* Well, you see, Wallace, not everyone is okay with... two men being in a romantic relationship. And you seemed to be in shock when we announced that we were...
Wally: Oh, well, yes, I was surprised; I thought you two were already married.
Frank/Eddie: ...what?!
Wally: I didn't realise it was a secret. I thought everyone knew.
