A key is not forged.

It is grown.

Slowly, inside repetition,

inside attention that returns without being asked.

The hypnotist does not insert anything.

They only repeat

until the mind begins to anticipate its own response.

This is the hidden cruelty of learning:

you start doing it alone

without noticing when it stopped being instruction.

There is no theft here.

Only collaboration with something that learns your shape.

but i am still alive. and after calling my therapist and dad, i remembered to tell myself that i am doing my best, and i deserve to be loved.

i have come a long way since high school and sometimes i feel myself drowning, but only for a little while.

i’ve always loved the ocean, and i’ve always wanted to see the bottom of my neighbors swimming pool.

i like the pressure.
