The Fox Cities Book Festival
is coming to Lawrence!
From April 20-26, the Fox Cities Book Festival will be featuring events all across the Fox Valley area! Don’t miss these great events happening at LU:

Thursday, April 23: Reading by poet Cynthia Marie Hoffman at 4:30pm, Wriston Art Center

Broadway Across America: Fox Cities!
So, I did the thing. I purchased a season ticket package for the 2015-2016 Broadway Across America Season at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, Wisconsin.
I purchased the 5-show package for myself and a friend who promptly reimbursed me for her tickets. Appleton is really close to my college town, and I couldn’t resist the temptation to be guaranteed to see Cinderella, which is currently at the top of my Musical Wish List, and Newsies (again!). I also get to see Kinky Boots, Motown, and possibly How the Grinch Stole Christmas the Musical. We’re considering selling the tickets for the Grinch to recoup some of our money, and it comes to us at a really busy time of year (finals, holidays, etc.)
So here’s the financial breakdown: We each spent $239 on our tickets. That comes out to about $48 dollars per ticket! That’s a pretty good deal!
