‭ Working on a coloring project which I can't say much about. Am experimenting with the sizing of the patterns I use. Here's a panel colored with two different sizes. . The top is the size used in most comics from the 40s to the 80s. The bottom is those same patterns increased a bit. . I found some patterns did not print clearly at the original size. It shows the biggest restriction of InkJet and LaserJet printing as opposed to the big four-color presses used in the original printing of comics. . I sent this off to the head of the project and am waiting to hear of his final decision. . So my next commission is designing a double page spread at 36x24 inches. This definitely requires so thought and planning on redesigning the screens and templates. . So what do I do to relax while I’m thinking? I work on converting Seurat’s day in the Park (the most well-known pointillism piece) into a comic page using Ben Day dots. . sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
