GROWING UP IN THE BEAST'S CASTLE
Lucette is the daughter of Lumiere and Plumette, but as a child, neither she, her brother, or her friends could correctly pronounce her name. Thus she was nicknamed Lucy, and the name just stuck. Lucette was born on April 17th. Her brother Luc ( @illumintes ) was born in August of the year before. However, all their lives, despite Luc having a different mother, the two were told that they were twins. Once when they questioned it, Lumiere merely threw his hands up into the air and said: ❝ What are you saying? Look at your names! How can you be anything else? ❞ This girl has much of her father’s fire, but not as much of her mother’s patience. She was known, when she was young, for running throughout the grounds and hiding from her parents, from Mrs. Potts, from everyone. She would make messes, get into trouble, and climb all the trees she could find. As stated above, this girl is as fiery as the candles burned by her father during the years he lived under the curse. As such, she has a somewhat fiery temper. Whenever anyone would upset her, she would immediately storm off to her brother’s room. With all the patience she lacked, he would sit and listen to her troubles while braiding her hair, and she would keep those braids in until those troubles dissipated. Luc is her brother. Her twin. No matter what blood, biology, or any person tells them. She will fight anyone who challenges her on this. Lucy knew many of the royal children that came to visit the King and Queen of Auradon. She grew up with them as she grew up with Ben. One of these was Audrey, the daughter of Aurora and Phillip ( @slumberbabe ). And despite a few differences in their personalities, the two were as thick as thieves, often sneaking to each other’s rooms late at night, usually (in Lucy’s case) with treats snagged from the kitchen. She has two favourite foods, that, whenever the chef at the palace would make it, she’d always snag a bite or a taste and then run. Duck a l’orange, and pomme dauphinoise. Though if you put anything chocolate in front of her, she wouldn’t refuse it. Given her parent’s relationship to Belle and Adam, and the close proximity afforded by their position in the royal household, it is likely that Lucy grew up with Ben. The King and Queen have in their own way become like second parents. Most of the castle was like a family to her, as they were already like a family to each other. Growing up, Lucette idolised her parents. Especially her mother. Plumette was kind, beautiful, graceful, and was the one woman who could tame her father’s theatrics. She made him melt. Their love was something that a young Lucy (and even a much older one) always fantasised about finding for herself. Lucy tends to think of Belle as a second mother. In fact, given her parents’ social/societal positions barred them from higher educations, it was Belle who taught Lucy to read, albeit very patiently. A full headcanon collaboration ( w/ @foundwithin ) will possibly be coming out about this at some point.
in his hand resides her sketch book that she uses to think of new ideas & plans. there are times she will doodle little objects or sceneries when she is out & about. to have lost that would have felt like a piece of herself was lost. lips curve into a gentle smile, feet taking a step towards the man. “Thank you so much. I do not know what I would have done if I had lost that.”

Lizzie had escaped her bedroom in which she was locked up for ‘’protection’’ her mother’s newfound paranoia taking nearly complete hold of her. She found a quiet spot to sit against a tree, just out of view from the card guards. She saw someone, a stranger, wandering towards the palace and she called out to her.
❝ Miss, please don’t go any further! Something is...off with the queen; someone’s been whispering poison into her ear. So, as of right now if the guards see you, an outsider, you’ll be taken to prison and sentenced to death with no trial. ❞
With a thud to the ground, the wanted prince found himself in a mess of leaves and dirt. Using his hands to push himself up, with a quick sweep down of his clothes he began to take in his new surroundings. The magic bean had worked, thankfully. His deal with what he could only describe as the devil had paid off, he was finally free from the wrath of his father - king George.
Tracking through the unknown woods, David was sure to keep his wits about him. He may have gotten away from the enchanted forest but this was a land unknown to him, even he wasn’t foolish enough to let his guard down. The further he walked, a village soon came into view. “Finally..” He sighed in relief. Exhaustion was beginning to hit hard, he had been running for a few days now. The king didn’t allow his men to rest for even a minute, that meaning in return David couldn’t either.
Putting his shawl over his head, he made sure to keep his head down as he now made his way through the village. His main priority now was to find clean water and somewhere to rest for the night.

Recently I’ve seen a number of posts wanting to censor what people write in roleplay. Usually, it’s because roleplayers are choosing to write about extreme and offensive topics such as pedophilia, rape, Nazism, racism and abuse.
Although I would not wish to write about these topics myself, I am entirely against people trying to control and stop others just because they don’t like something or are offended by it. As long as the writers do not condone their characters actions and appropriately tag their content, I believe that they should be entirely free to decide what they wish to write about. It’s fiction. They are words on a page that people can choose to read, or not. The muse does not equal the mun - it’s a shame there are so few people who seem to understand this.
It’s ironic really because the vast majority of people on Tumblr seem to be more liberal and are against the censorship of books by law e.g. To Kill a Mockingbird and Lolita, yet are happy to censor things they themselves don’t like on roleplay?
