Unsung impact of Diane Rattray?
I got some fresh sausage patties on markdown the other day, when I was already planning to make meatloaf that evening, so a quick Google search later I have this recipe for meatloaf using the ingredients i have on hand. Turned out great BTW, I'm eating the second loaf of the double batch that I froze using the instructions today.
Anyway, I noticed that the author of that recipe is Diane Rattray. And back in the day, almost every recipe on About.com was written by Diane Rattray. Like, she's been a major source of internet recipes for... About as long as there have been internet recipes.
I wonder how much of current cooking was shaped by this one woman? How many people have grown up eating her recipes as their family recipe for X?
