This concept I think is my strongest idea to move forward at the minute, which is about humans beliefs. We all believe in something, from UFOs, Santa Claus or even Ghosts. The biggest beliefs humans have is religion. All across the world Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Silkhism, Buddaism and Islam are wildly celebrated depending on which country and family background people are from. With these beliefs everyone is different and thats what is important to get across that everyone is different and some maybe more creative with their beliefs like and invisible friend when they was a child or to a religious belief that was taught to them from a religious boob e.g. Bible or the Quran.

A lot of beliefs are surrounded by holidays, for example Christmas and Easter. both are religious holidays but for children who are not religious, these are holidays where Santa Claus or Father Christmas brings them presents for being good during the year and Easter is where the Easter bunny brings chocolate eggs. As well as these beliefs wishes are big beliefs as wishing wells where people throw coins in and make a wish hoping it will come true. This is similar to the birthday wish when whoever's birthday it is blows out the candles and once they have cut the cake for the first time they make a wish to hope it comes true. 

Everyone knows that we now live in a digital era, one where technology has taken over. This is different from when the Voyager mission was launched, which means that the aliens would expect 1977 when they arrive but in fact they will see an age of technology with computers, mobile phones and selfie sticks. Not being told by this digital world we now live in it could easily be seen as an untrustworthy sign along with a sign of attack, when really us humans see it as a way of helping ourselves.

The internet, the biggest difference in humanity right now. People can't go anywhere without it now, not 10 minutes on a bus without using a bus' free wifi or using their 3G/4G mobile data. However, no matter how annoying it can be to others it does help us. Getting directions when we are lost and have no map, staying connected with people who are in other countries or places far from home and also less time consuming like shopping so theres more time to do other things. People do mistreat this luxury but it does help make our lives easier. The technology in hospitals is now unbelievable, from days where the littlest thing could be fatal is now treated within seconds. Deadly illnesses like diabetes and cancer can be detected at early stages and be treated for immediately for the best chance of survival. 

My second concept is about places, singling out landmarks as well and countries and continents. This a almost like a way to communicate look at our planet and the must see places if you were here in one day. Let's face it if aliens came to earth, they will be in a different environment, everything is new and different. We can relate to that when we go on holiday, earth is practically a holiday destination for life from other planets. This makes showing our landmarks off a way of selling the earth and advertising our planet as a holiday destination. 

I would be focusing on cities with London, New York, Tokyo, Rome and Dubai etc. but the earth isn't just made up of cities, there is Oceans, and Deserts, Rainforests as well natural areas that are not just good experiences to be there but also help us in the way we live and treat ourselves in health. This is why mentioning the 7 wonders of the world would be another great way of showing what a great world we live in but its is also communicating our history as a planet and evolution over millions of years. 

My first concept is about people. After all the Golden Record is about the human race and shows how we live. If an extraterrestrial life form is show the way to come to a planet but not know who has sent the message, it will become very suspicious and it will be sense of stepping into the unknown; unaware of our intentions of peace could be seen as an intent of danger.

To talk about our life and the people that are in it is to show these intelligent lifeforms who to go to first so the leaders of the world, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings and Queens. To communicate with these people is helpful to speak their language. e.g. English, French German, Spanish etc. and to also use that to demonstrate different ethnicities and religions. 

I think it would also be a good idea to show not just the leaders of the world but the well-known faces of the earth like celebrities who are seen in a good light such as; David Beckham, Morgan Freeman, Katy Perry etc. However, presenting celebrities who are seen in a bad way adds a little humour to this idea but also would help the "aliens" to know who to keep away from. These people would include ISIS, Vladamir Putin, Luis Suarez, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus.
