My favourite films 🎥
Just every few months I found myself going feral over fucked up brothers who are very much incestuous to each other.
Haters can't get to me because I love the obscure and extremely disliked movie Found (2012)
I just watched Found (2012). Interestingly I got this film off a “top most disturbing/ controversial” list which I’m always perusing except the movie recommendation was actually for Headless (2015) which is apparently BASED on Found.
I liked this movie just fine. A boy discovers that his brother (who he adores) keeps severed heads in a bowling bag in his closet. I would say the premise overall delivers on the interesting concept it presents. 3/5.
The reason the movie - despite having an interesting main cast & doing fun stuff with the setting & the effects on a a shoe string budget -loses points from me is simple: they tried to do too much with too little with the script.
The entire plot point of Dylan focusing on black women & the racial aspect of this plot COULD have been something but it….. wasn’t.
This movie had some really interesting content in regards to nuclear families, women, sibling dynamics, & middle class religious groups. It had NOTHING to say about race. This movie was heavily crippled by the frequent unnecessary nods to a commentary that simply didn’t work within the overall narrative framework. My opinion? Only bring it up if actually seems worth mentioning within the conversation at hand & you have something to say. Cmon.
That said —- this movie was really interesting.
The main cast did fantastic & the nuclear family at the center of the film was SO believable in its dysfunction & reality. Loved the cast & characters of this move & the practical effects deserve an awards show all their own. The script was genius for the parts that worked but nonsensical for the parts that didn’t which was interesting.

You wouldn't even know about the sides of the internet I'm on (scouring any site I can get my hands on for people who also like some specific & obscure media)
I think if I watched Found (2012) again it would fix me
