Joseph and Rebecca have been laughing at me all day. I’m safe here for now. I didn’t know why the fawn started floating. Apparently it’s my fault. Afterwards, Mum made us all pray but instead I was justso scared Dad might hit me again that I swear the roomwent really cold….Mum won’t talk to me. Dad has been pacing the yard, so I’m hiding in the barn. It couldn’t have been my imagination but even my parentswere staring at me with disbelief. I didn’t know how it washappening or why. Just that it was.So I’ll just stay here. Where it’s safe, and I’ll continue to write stories. I tried to show my father about the story I wrote, from the perspective of Goliath fighting David…that everyone was ganging up on him. I got a beatingfor that too. From now on, I’ll keep my writing to myself.

this isn’t really a headcanon, so much as pure FACT, but Gideon’s a nerd.
No but, Gideon is basically the exception to every rule Fabian has.
One of Fab’s biggest fears is commitment, like the inability to do what makes him happy because of confinement (esp. in relationships) && yet he’ll attach himself at the hip to his twin.
Also, Fabian refuses to attach feelings towards people, he thinks things just get muddled, and yet literally every good feeling he owns is basically straight shotted at Gideon.
One of Fabian’s greatest fears is being alone, which is why he wants to be alone (conquer his fears kind of thing) && yet he could NEVER leave Gideon.
Gideon is everything Fabian pretends to not be; and easily, he knows he could never live without Gideon.
