"Para Ricky/For Ricky". Here is another page in the new #Rainbow colored paged #SketchBook. I recently found this teeny #PostItNote #Sketch of #RickyGarduno's #Kimbo character from his #1930NightmareTheatre #WebComic on the now defunct #DummComics site. Dumm was a webcomics hub of great cartoonists (most from the #Animation industry) that started in the late 2000s. Sadly, Ricky passed away in 2011. I'm bummed that I never got a chance to share this lil' Kimbo with him. I like to think he's somewhere up there in cloudy cartoonist heaven, making God laugh with his irreverent comics and art, and looking down seeing what we're all up to. Those taped up quotes were from a brief time that Ricky was answering Qs on the also defunct #Formspring. Took me a while to hunt down what I saved off of that site from an old hard drive for this piece. ••• I also had a lot of fun working on that #DennisTheMenace piece too! I felt like I was back in my old #ArtSchool days of experimentation! @tjtevlin Formspring was a question/answer site that could link to tumblr and other sites. Folks on Formspring could ask questions anonymously or openly. It started in 2009, and eventually shut down in 2013. The issue of anonymous cyber bullying was a catalyst in its downfall.
