These past couple months I feel like I've been living on autopilot. I never truly feel like I'm in control or actually have the drive to do things wholeheartedly. I'm sick of the routine. I'm sick of not knowing what my future will look like. Not in a good way though... Will I have the GPA to get into a good doctoral program? Will I have enough money to pay for my loans? These questions are something that I don't even want answered. I don't want to go to grad school. I don't want to have loans. I don't even want to be in school. The generations before me have set their children up for failure. Most teens along with myself, feel like they should go to school because they need to in order to make money to live. Everyone is going to college to get a degree but degrees don't mean anything anymore. Why should I go through 8 years of school just to have a job that will cause me nothing but stress, thousands of dollars in debt and no time for anything? Helping others is something I would love to do, but at what cost? This world of constantly going to school just to reach that next level of school and repeat is exhausting and incredibly unfulfilling. Sure it is great to learn about action potential in neurons, but it is all for the wrong reasons. I don't want to look back on my life in 10 years without doing what truly makes me happy.
