Tasaru's Mother! Gaia!

I decided to create and draw what Tasaru’s mom would look like. The idea just came to me when I was doodling.

Name: Gaia

Update! I’ve finally decided on a name for her. I know Gaia is a common nature-based name, but I don’t think I have seen it being used in this fandom, which is a huge missed opportunity.

Gaia is also a simple name to remember.

I do not know what to call her. Gaia, Fleur, Flora, and any other plant-based names are too obvious and simple.

However, since she takes inspiration from two trees, which are called “Queen of Trees” when I did my research, maybe I’ll just combine the two scientific names of those trees:

Sycamore Fig tree (Ficus sycomorus) + Common Olive tree (Olea europaea) = Oleamora, Syolea, Sycolea, Sycamora, Olemor, Olemorus?... Idk man...

Age: Same age as Nadar, though older.

Personality: Compassionate, Generous, Motherly, Loyal, Confident, and Stubborn.

Status: Deceased, maybe.

Fact: As shown in the image, the character can grow two types of fruits on her hair: Olives and Figs, at will.

The reason why she has this ability is that if she notices some folks who don’t have the energy to fight, go on, etc, she gives some of her energy to the person(s) through the fruits.

Of course, if she eats her own fruits, she won’t gain any new energy, she will just eat the same amount of energy she had before.

Height: She's taller than Nadar, Firespitter, Sceven, and any adult gormiti, except for Magor.

On our way to Fogville, we came across another elemental!

The shoulder piece for the forest elemental Rowan was taken from my older costume, Jarad vod Savo, former lich lord of the Golgari. That piece was fairly beaten up, and frankly I wasn’t all that happy with it in the first place. A look at the left shoulder of it is below:

The moss was mostly falling off of the foam base, and the piece of cloth I had glued underneath to look like tattered vestments just didn’t look that good. The foam was also entirely too large, sticking from my frame too much.

I trimmed the foam back, removing extra mushrooms as needed, I also ripped off the hanging cloth, and replaced it with a type of halloween decoration called “creepy cloth,” which performed a few functions. One, it resembled moss itself. Two, its net-like properties helped keep the original moss in place, and make a sort of layered effect. Three, it did a better job of portraying the vestment idea. I also added a row of broken antler pieces along the edge of the shoulders, for extra detail and their resemblance to the horns of the mask I use with the full costume. The reconstructed right shoulder is below:
