As I was eating my apples today I had a friend ask me an important question... How do you know your apple is organic? I explained each fruit needs to be labeled with barcode for the super markets to know what to charge you for them. If that barcode starts with the number 9 then that means your fruits are organic. 💚🌱💚 This means that you are fruit it's not GMO which stands for genetically modified organism. About 98% of the fruit that's being sold in our supermarkets are GMO, made by a company named Monsanto. The main issue with this type of seeds is that they do not reproduce my natural progression. Meaning that before a farmer will be able to take out seeds and replant them in order to get new fruits and veggies. Well farmers must sign a contract with Monsato and continue to buy their seeds in order to keep their farms. Once the land has been spread with Monsanto chemicals it becomes very difficult to grow fruits and veggies on that land.... This is were the importance of being mindful where you spend your money comes from.
