A Soul for a Soul
“You must trade a Soul for a Soul,” Red Skull rasps.
And therefore yeet goes Gamora and Natasha in throwaway deaths used to further the plots of their male counter parts (go ahead, ask me if I’m angry).
.
So, Steve Rodgers is returning the cursed stone, he’s had time to think, time to miss, and hurt. And he’s tired.
“A Soul for a Soul.”
The fearless Captain, facing an old enemy, a fight in his eyes and an Infinity Stone in his clenched fist.
Her words echo in his head, and he can’t shake the thought that of all of them, maybe she deserved a life out of all of them.
He can’t stop seeing her smile and Clint’s agony.
“You want to make a trade?”
Steve says nothing, only stares. He can do this all day, after all.
.
In which Steve makes a trade, and Natasha gets to come home to her family. It makes sense, and with the ten whole ass minutes she was allowed on screen, I think it’s only fair for the Queen to get to come home.
