You know, it’s weird.. security around Abel Gideon did not seem at all “relaxed” when the two armed guards and two orderlies were shouting at his inert form, and then prioritizing handcuffing his unresponsive body before even checking for a pulse.
Which makes me wonder - did the guards just willingly leave that nurse alone? Were we all that sure he was down for the count? Was the local strip-club’s $3 lunch buffet about to start?
Like, I know there’s a possibility that Chilton kinda-sorta wanted this to happen, but even reading him in the most chillingly eeeevil way possible… it seems like it would be awfully hard to set this nurse up without making it obvious.
Realistically, the only thing I can think of is that there was a security incident elsewhere in the facility, and the nurse said “It’s fine; I’m totally fine. Go.”
