I don’t ask the genius loci for much, mostly regular offerings to forage in that area, but after asking aloud for a tall, forked, sturdy branch to make into a stang/maypole, I came upon this after about five minutes of walking. best candidate I’ve found so far, dry and tall enough to walk with comfortably. will be carving soon.
