Ok for those of you out there in the world food servers only make $2.13 an hour (in Texas at least). Unless the cost of living is more expensive they still don’t make any money unless you tip. Tipping is very important. It’s the servers’ livelihoods. They live off of the tips. How the hell do u think it is physically possible to live off of $2.13 an hour?? The $2.13 is for taxes purposes for the IRS and they have to claim their tips so they can track how much money they make that year. So they don’t get to see that either. A server would be lucky to simply receive $20 on his or her check. Servers don’t make money off the company, they make the money from the people that come and sit in their section. If you don’t tip the server has to pay for you to sit there. How, you ask?? This is how: they are renting this space to make money for, just like a hairdresser using a chair and they have to pay booth rent. Another is because they have to share a percentage of their tips with the bartenders and bussers. If you are wondering what you are paying for I’ll gladly tell you. You are paying that person to WAIT on you. You don’t have get your own drinks, refill them, ring your order in, make sure it’s cooked the way you want it cuz let’s face it, no one wants any item the way it comes, bring it out, make sure you are happy, and when your done they have to clean up after you. That’s their job and you are paying them to do it. If you don’t, they are working for FREE!!! Then because you didn’t tip they are going to remember you and the next time you come in, you are going to get bad service, I guarantee it. NO ONE is going to work for FREE unless it’s community service and even then they won’t work unless they get their hours. How are you gonna expect top notch service, but you have no intentions of taking care of the people who give it to you?? Where’s the sense in that?? And the whole “it’s a recession” well here’s two words for you “FUCK YOU.” Bill collectors don’t wanna hear “it’s a recession” try calling AT&T and say “hi, I wanna pay my phone bill with ‘it’s a recession’” or call up Time Warner and say “I wanna pay my cable bill with a smile.” News flash in case the world didn’t know, it is a proven fact that it is cheaper to buy a month’s worth groceries and cook, than it is to eat out for a month (don’t believe me, look it up). Not tipping is like illegally downloading a song, or leaking a book before they hit shelves, or watching a movie before it comes out. Notice how none of those things are good in quality, the illegal song has someone talking in the back, the book may give your computer a virus, and the movie looks like someone shot it with a the first camcorder that ever came out. But I digress. If you or your child vomits, takes a piss or shit everywhere, and your server cleans it, you drop at least a dub piece ($20). These are disgusting bodily fluids and anything less than $20 is straight up disrespectful you fucking cocksucker. Cuz if it was up to the server they would take you or that little shit you brought with you and clean you up with it, assholes. Then you don’t even say thank you like it’s expected or something. No, it isn’t, the server isn’t responsible for you. You underage people or people without IDs, why the hell would you walk around let alone leave your house without any identification?? Why would you ask for alcohol knowing you’re not 21?? Then you get mad if the server doesn’t sell you alcohol because of this. Is it too much to fucking ask for your ID?? Would it kill you to have it?? In the state of Texas you CANNOT serve anyone any liquor without a valid ID, no matter how old you are. And if you are not at least 21, I rest my case. Then you want them to let it slide, don’t you understand what is at stake if they do?? They could lose their jobs, go to jail, pay a fine up to $5000, lose their licenses to work in any restaurant, and you want them to lose their job or get sued over all that for a damn $3 beer or $6 margarita. Think logically ok, they’re not trying to keep you from drinking, they’re just trying to keep their jobs, they don’t even know you, why would they take risks like that?? It’s not worth it. Whoever said the customer is always right lied to you ok. You will always be wrong, they just let you think you’re right. Servers don’t care about, or know your lives. So if you make a comment about how they seemed disinterested, please explain how taking your fucking order can be interesting. A cockfight is interesting, masturbating is interesting, hell killing ants with a magnifying glass is more interesting than that. They’re just trying to get you in and out so they can get another table and make more money. Hello world it’s true, they want you gone as soon as your done. Now if you get absolutely horrible service I still don’t condone not tipping, but I understand why you didn’t do it. You should get your money’s worth. Just see where the servers are coming from. *sorry about the cursing, I just had to get that off my chest.
