Ok for those of you out there in the world food servers only make $2.13 an hour (in Texas at least). Unless the cost of living is more expensive they still donât make any money unless you tip. Tipping is very important. Itâs the serversâ livelihoods. They live off of the tips. How the hell do u think it is physically possible to live off of $2.13 an hour?? The $2.13 is for taxes purposes for the IRS and they have to claim their tips so they can track how much money they make that year. So they donât get to see that either. A server would be lucky to simply receive $20 on his or her check. Servers donât make money off the company, they make the money from the people that come and sit in their section. If you donât tip the server has to pay for you to sit there. How, you ask?? This is how: they are renting this space to make money for, just like a hairdresser using a chair and they have to pay booth rent. Another is because they have to share a percentage of their tips with the bartenders and bussers. If you are wondering what you are paying for Iâll gladly tell you. You are paying that person to WAIT on you. You donât have get your own drinks, refill them, ring your order in, make sure itâs cooked the way you want it cuz letâs face it, no one wants any item the way it comes, bring it out, make sure you are happy, and when your done they have to clean up after you. Thatâs their job and you are paying them to do it. If you donât, they are working for FREE!!! Then because you didnât tip they are going to remember you and the next time you come in, you are going to get bad service, I guarantee it. NO ONE is going to work for FREE unless itâs community service and even then they wonât work unless they get their hours. How are you gonna expect top notch service, but you have no intentions of taking care of the people who give it to you?? Whereâs the sense in that?? And the whole âitâs a recessionâ well hereâs two words for you âFUCK YOU.â Bill collectors donât wanna hear âitâs a recessionâ try calling AT&T and say âhi, I wanna pay my phone bill with âitâs a recessionââ or call up Time Warner and say âI wanna pay my cable bill with a smile.â News flash in case the world didnât know, it is a proven fact that it is cheaper to buy a monthâs worth groceries and cook, than it is to eat out for a month (donât believe me, look it up). Not tipping is like illegally downloading a song, or leaking a book before they hit shelves, or watching a movie before it comes out. Notice how none of those things are good in quality, the illegal song has someone talking in the back, the book may give your computer a virus, and the movie looks like someone shot it with a the first camcorder that ever came out. But I digress. If you or your child vomits, takes a piss or shit everywhere, and your server cleans it, you drop at least a dub piece ($20). These are disgusting bodily fluids and anything less than $20 is straight up disrespectful you fucking cocksucker. Cuz if it was up to the server they would take you or that little shit you brought with you and clean you up with it, assholes. Then you donât even say thank you like itâs expected or something. No, it isnât, the server isnât responsible for you. You underage people or people without IDs, why the hell would you walk around let alone leave your house without any identification?? Why would you ask for alcohol knowing youâre not 21?? Then you get mad if the server doesnât sell you alcohol because of this. Is it too much to fucking ask for your ID?? Would it kill you to have it?? In the state of Texas you CANNOT serve anyone any liquor without a valid ID, no matter how old you are. And if you are not at least 21, I rest my case. Then you want them to let it slide, donât you understand what is at stake if they do?? They could lose their jobs, go to jail, pay a fine up to $5000, lose their licenses to work in any restaurant, and you want them to lose their job or get sued over all that for a damn $3 beer or $6 margarita. Think logically ok, theyâre not trying to keep you from drinking, theyâre just trying to keep their jobs, they donât even know you, why would they take risks like that?? Itâs not worth it. Whoever said the customer is always right lied to you ok. You will always be wrong, they just let you think youâre right. Servers donât care about, or know your lives. So if you make a comment about how they seemed disinterested, please explain how taking your fucking order can be interesting. A cockfight is interesting, masturbating is interesting, hell killing ants with a magnifying glass is more interesting than that. Theyâre just trying to get you in and out so they can get another table and make more money. Hello world itâs true, they want you gone as soon as your done. Now if you get absolutely horrible service I still donât condone not tipping, but I understand why you didnât do it. You should get your moneyâs worth.
