i fell utterly and blissfully in love with the most amazing person i’ve ever met

my resolution every year is to survive—it’s been kept for sixteen years.

she’s never been close to me, but a girl who i attended elementary school with gave birth

in 2014? i don’t think so — i believe the last major death that occurred for me was in 2013.

6:What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?
i need to learn how to self-care; i work myself to exhaustion. so i guess the knowledge of that?
7:What dates from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
march 15th is when ren and i started dating and i will remember that day for the rest of my life
and i have a few other days but the memories of those days are sacred to me
8:What was your biggest achievement of the year?
um dating ren is my initial thought but if you want something more “legitimate”, then surviving the last half of last year’s english class
9:What was your biggest failure?
i did a lot of pretending to try to please everyone for a large portion of this year, i regret that entirely

mmmm well there’s been mental illness but that’s been since i was 13 or so
i burnt myself on hot cookie trays more than i can count is that a legitimate injury
11:What was the best thing you bought?
2014…….the serenity necklace, i think. my gambit shirt’s a close second
12:Whose behaviour merited celebration?
my brother’s, actually. he’s becoming so much more socially aware and he’s so much nicer now

shit there’s three or four people who stand out and all of them either wronged me or someone i loved
i’m still angry about some of them

15:What did you get really, really, really excited about?probably the dorks but that will be meaningless to everyone except ren
so um i was pretty excited about getting together a science olympiad team and i’m sad it didn’t happen
