Writing long stories feels like a slog. Inevitably, my ADHD brain wants to do something else, and I put that project on a shelf indefinitely. I hate doing that, and I don't want to do it anymore.

You're going to see a lot more short stories like Cream and Sugar from me, and maybe some mid-length ones like The Mistress of Rosehorn Hall. Godhunt will still be finished, as will I can smile at the old days. Unfortunately, Dance of the Hours covers the whole Silmarillion, so I've kind of locked myself into a corner. Fortunately, The Silmarillion is always going to be my hyperfixation, so I'll always want to work on it.

I initially wanted to do a Halloween released for the final version of Godhunt, but I might push that back for a Beltane release next year, in honor of the holiday. I'll have something else planned for Halloween instead.

I don't know where I'm going with this, but I think this is why I've felt down about my writing recently. I have a lot of big projects that feel overwhelming, so I simply don't do them. This puts me in a cycle of "I feel overwhelmed about this project -> I don't do the project -> I feel overwhelmed about this project -> I don't do the project" into perpetuity until six months have passed and I haven't worked on anything.
