looking for new people to follow! (please, let me know or share), blog.
I WANT TO FOLLOW YOU!, YEAH, YOU... well, maybe not you, maybe your friend or someone you follow or who knows. Basically, I want to follow more blogs, and I'm interested in following them if they do some of the things I'll list here (not all, of course; one is enough). So please, if you're one say hi or let me know in some way or another, if you know a blog please tag them, and if you don't you can help me (and others, I guess) by reblogging this. (I'll check anyone who interacts anyways). Thanks!
So, I'm interesed in following you if you:
1) ... are latino/a/e or hispanic
I particulary refer to people who lives in Latin America because I'm interesed in stories that take place here... but if you are latino and live in other country, but write about our/your culture, that's fine too. I also want to discover other hispanics writers.
If you don't know the difference (it seems like a common problem), when I say latinos, I include countries that don't speak spanish (such as Brazil), and when I say hispanic I include countries that aren't part of America (like Spain or Equatorial Guinea).
2) ... are bilingual or polyglot (like, you have an English blog but write in other language)
I'm not just interested in latinos or hispanics, but just generally people of other countries that write about their country, culture, etc.
3) ... write short fiction (like short stories and novellas)
Short fiction need more love. I also want to know about the experience and learn from other short story writers, because they're their own creature, and isn't as common to find tips about them.
4) ... write magical realism
I guess you are not suprised by this...
5) ... write low fantasy and/or soft magic
I'm in a point in my life where just a touch of magic is awesome. But if your story is in another world but the magic is all crazy and weird (think Howl's Moving Castle), I'm in.
6) ... write dark fantasy or gothic fiction
Fantasy that flirts with horror is a 10/10. And when I say gothic I mean it in a loose, modern way, in the same way I think Over The Garden Wall is a gothic story.
7) ... write character driven fantasy
Self-explanatory, I guess.
8) ... write adult fiction
My YA phase is over, I'm more interested in older characters, greyish plots, more complex themes, sex (yeah), and all that. If the story is interesting enough is not necessary for it to be fantasy.
