absolutely love Matt singing to his grandma even though it means "ruining" his first date with Julie, absolutely hate the way Landry gleefully advises him to use it as a way to get lucky by making Julie think he's a sweet and vulnerable person (which in many ways he is, but Landry treats everything as transactional)

one thing i always loved about fnl compared to other teen dramas is how the absence of parents is realistically deeply tragic and has a profound traumatic effect on characters and isnt just a matter of convenience for teens to run around town unsupervised

when Tami is in the middle of getting ready for Gracie's christening and goes "Honey, Tim Riggins is parked outside our house" in total astonishment and Coach is just like "good" because that's his real son and nothing could be more natural than that Tim should be outside their house
