ADMIN NOTES:

Please note that this is only an announcement post and the tasks for this two week block are for slightly-backdated casting, not yet the filming of the show itself. This is our long-term, or ongoing, event for 2019, like our We Got Married event in 2017 and our Idolized documentary event in 2018! If you weren’t here for either of those, these sorts of events run longer than a normal event and will be driven forward by sets of tasks posted on a bi-weekly (once every two weeks) basis specific to the filming of each set of episodes. Like our We Got Married event, the number of muses who can participate as main cast will be limited, but, muses who aren’t in the main cast of the show will be able to make cameo appearances in the episodes and complete tasks related to that in order to earn points, too! Unlike the first two ongoing events, there’s also plans for the event to overlap with a couple of tasks or mini-events during its run through the end of the year.

The show will be partly based on the premise of the show Roommate, but will not be an exact copy. There will most likely be two separate houses and groupings of idols shot for the show to enable a wider cast of muses.

Please be aware that if you sign up to have your muse be a part of the main cast for the show, you are expected to be able and willing to try to fulfill bi-weekly prompts and plan on being active for the majority of the run of the show. You won’t be penalized for not completing every task since everything is for fun, but the goal is to have active members participating as the main cast so that the event can stay exciting and interactive! If you’re anticipating an extended period of low activity before the end of the year, it may be best to stick to the optional cameo tasks for your muses instead!

Step One: If you are interested in your muse being part of the main cast, please fill out this survey here in-character. The questions will be used to sort muses into one of two share houses as well as to decide initial roommates! This will be your official expression of interest for the event but step two must also be completed in addition to step one order to officially enter your muse into contention as a main cast member! In-character, this will be filled out by the muse after passing the casting process from step two and receiving the form from the producers. Out of character, this step should ideally be completed first if you plan to complete it.

You may only submit this survey for one muse per mun, so choose the muse wisely.

The survey will be closed if the number of submissions exceeds a reasonable number of participants to live in two houses. If the limit is surpassed to the point that cutting the cast down is required, the latest submissions and submissions that do not complete step two by the due date will be cut for the most fair method. No more than four idols from the same group will be allowed to participate as main cast at the same time. Consider this if you have multiple muses and are deciding which one to submit. It may be wisest to submit a muse from a group with fewer muses currently in it than a group with many muses taken. The form will be updated as soon as possible to note if/when any groups are capped.

Step Two: Complete this casting video prompt in-character with a character count of at least 400 words and tag it with #fmdshaudition. This will be your muse’s in-character audition for the show and you may collect three points after completing it. You will have until Friday, November 1, at 11:59PM EDT to complete this step.

Note: Step two can be completed without step one for the points if you do not wish for your muse to actually became a main cast member, just make sure not to complete step one if that’s the case! This can be done for muns that don’t want their muse to be a part of the main cast or for additional muses past the one per mun that can be considered for the main cast!

The survey will be closed a few days before the casting tasks deadline (or if the number of interested participants exceeds a realistic amount — around 30/40) and the cast, houses, and roommates will be announced not long after to officially begin the ongoing event.

Total available points: 6 points (Please note all six points are available for all muses, whether signing up to be main cast for the ongoing event or not.)

+3 points: Complete step two listed above and post it in the #fmdshaudition tag by Friday, November 1, at 11:59PM EDT to qualify for points.

+3 points: Write a head canon (400+ words) about your muse’s current living situation, what it’s like, and/or how they honestly feel about it. Are they messy or clean? Is their room decorated a certain way? If they live in a dorm, what do they like and dislike about living with their group members and co-workers? If they live on their own, do they get lonely? Maybe they’ve even moved back in with their family or share a house with a friend or group mate. What’s that like? This will not count toward your monthly limit and must be completed and posted in the #fmdshaudition tag by Friday, November 1, at 11:59PM EDT to qualify for points. (This is not a required step for a muse to be cast in the show, but is optional development for additional points.)

Its not necessarily something that she has to get – Youngjoo thinks as her manager hands her the details for the audition for “Shared Home”. But Gold Star wants to play on her recent re-appearances in the industry, plus, it would be a great source of promotion for Silhouette with their upcoming album and promotions to have someone on a variety show, filling up the slots and reminding everyone that they actually do–somewhat exist, despite the lesser times that Silhouette actually makes a comeback. She hasn’t done something as similar to a v-live or a video taping of herself in a long while, despite having been on a variety show just a few weeks before. Law of the Jungle was still broadcasting, and being rather well received, much to her relief. The return of the clumsy but warm hearted personality of the Silhouette leader proved endearing to the masses, and that was more than enough for the older girl. 

Soft strains of music starts off in the video that’s recorded, the low hum of her Young-joo’s voice filling up the small space as she reaches for something beyond the camera, a yelp falling from her lips as a crash resounds through the air, followed by the soft scoot of her feet against the carpeted floor, the recording camera carefully placed aside as she gathers up her her composition file and sits, tilting the camera back in the best position possible, the dim fairy lights that adorned the back post of her bed twinkling softly as the low throaty hum of billie eilish filled the room. 

“Hello, its currently–9pm here.”  It only takes a fraction of a moment for Joo to glance at the clock on the wall, a soft laugh on her lips as she hoists the camera up to face level, biting her lips delicately as though considering a little on what to say next. “It your resident klutz Young-joo.. in her own apartment, trying to find ways to relax without ending up a complete mess. ” A soft huff of a laugh bubbles from her lips as she stifles her grin, a slight shake of her head a little self-deprecating as she shuffles on the carpeted door with her bare feet. She’s dressed simply in a loose shirt and slacks, with her hair tied into a bun and a yawn upon her lips as she whirls around in a circle, laughing aloud as she gave the camera a whole perfect view of her neatly decorated room. The quilts were a soft shade of grey, the pillows fluffy and plumped, carefully smoothened out, the lights above the bed dim and full of ambiance as they winked slightly above the head of the bed. The whole room is neatly kept and lived in, with a strange sort of slight perfection to the bedroom as a whole, as though someone had came in and compulsively neatened everything almost nervously before the video had begun. The air filter whirred softly at the foot of the bed, the faintest scent of lavender drifting through the air as Young-joo stooped down at the foot of the bed, lifting up the scented lavender oil bottle that she had decorated and waved it in front of the camera.

“This is one of my favourite scented oils, lavender scent oils. I actually made some tweaks to the scented oil, because I found most scented oils that permeate the room a little too powerful.”  She explained softly, the calm timbre of her voice filtering through the camera as she tapped the half filled glass of the oil. “ This scented oil is just enough to let a faint scent of lavender drift through the air. Lavender scents are always good for bedtime, because they actually do help to relax your muscles and enhance your sleep. I often use these oils when I get a little too stressed. Just..light a flame below, and pour a little bit of the oil onto the bowl on top of the flame.”  She paused for a moment, using her hand to waft the scent around. “ And the softest scent of lavender will scent the room.” She sighed, completely satisfied with how she had carried out her taping so far. “ So..hm..what are some problems that I think I might face while living in a house with other idols?”  She asked aloud, reading off the page just for the question as she tilted her head contemplatively.

“ Well, I think it would take a whole lot of adjustment all over again for me to be living with a group of people, since Silhouette hasn’t been in a dorm of years.”  She flopped back on the bed, stretching comfortably with a faint mewl. “Adapting to each other’s faults and habits? For me personally, not getting too picky with people no picking up after themselves?”  She gave a throaty chuckle. “ I’ve picked up after my Silhouette girls so much that its become somewhat of a second nature to be a bit of a mother hen.”  She admitted it sheepishly. “ Its definitely hard though, living alone. I’m pretty much of a homebody, so I don’t really take much of the initiative to go outside and see others.”  She abandoned the script of the questions that was given to her, stretching out on her belly on the bed, half burying her face in the covers as she felt the corners of her lips lift delicately. “Its a bad habit that only worsened after we all moved into our different apartments. Not finding the time to come back together unless really necessary, even though we still talk to each other on our chats.” She mused quietly, completely forgetting about the existence of a camera in her bedroom as she peered back at the camera lens, talking as though she would to a normal person, with a faint pout on her lips and a rough brush of her hand through her hair. 

yujin is currently living in the element dorms and rooms with her other female member. the males live in a connected yet separate complex, but they’re always going back and forth between each other’s houses that it doesn’t even feel like it’s really separated. the girls and boys practically live in one house that’s just separated into two. 

she’s neat yet not neat at the same time. there are clutters here and there, mostly on her desk, but she knows where everything is. if someone asked her to find something within the clutters, she could find it in a heartbeat. the rest of her room is a lot cleaner, however.

her room is mostly mixtures of blue, black and purple. people associate her bright personality to brighter colors, but she’s not a big fan of interior being too bright because it hurts her eyes. she’s a fan of cooler colors. 

her bed is mostly filled with gifts from fans that she keeps. she also has a lot of pictures of her and her members on her desk. it’s probably the only part of her desk that has a clear view all the time.

the room isn’t very decorated either. she does share it with her fellow female member, and if her members wants to decorate things, she would gladly allow it. yujin really doesn’t care about what her room looks like as long as she has a comfortable enough bed to sleep on. she doesn’t spend a lot of time in her room to begin with as she’s mostly in the living room. her room is mostly a place for just sleep. 

because she’s not bothered by a lot of things, she thinks she’s a pretty good roommate. as long as her side of the room isn’t messed up by somebody else, she really doesn’t care what her roommate does. she’s very dense when it comes to living with someone else. 

yujin really likes living with her members because they’re so fun to be around. they’re like a big puppy pile and spend lots of times together, or at least as much time as they can. she think she’d be pretty upset when it comes time for them to move out of the dorms. if possible, she’d want to keep living with her female member at least. 

the main issue for him came from the fact that, until this day, hwan doesn’t know how to live by himself. every since his parents passed, hwan had lived with his grandparents. neither of them were too strict or overwhelming, and they were mostly supportive of whatever decisions he made in his life. his grandmother got him his first job as a dance instructor and his grandfather would take him to all his competitions. the two of them have been to pretty much every concert they were invited to and they don’t make their support a secret. so hwan likes them and liked living with them but after years sharing a living space with six boys, the last thing hwan wanted was to live with other people again.

the main issue came that, when origin was allowed to move out in mid 2017, hwan postponed it to the end of the year – by doing that, his moving came when he was at his worst moment, psychologically. the pressure that came with origin becoming too famous far too quickly was getting to him in a way that hwan didn’t know how to handle. it was when he went back to therapy after years away and when he had to be directed to a psychiatrist so he could start taking controlled medicine for depression. on one hand, hwan really wanted to go but on the other hand he was scared of what he might do in case he lived by himself. which was when joohwan decided to adopt kino and kaiou, the dogs serving as his housemates and companions.

if joohwan could’ve picked, he’d have chosen to move into an apartment in a less flashy building and definitely some place less fancy. he lives in a high rise but only because it’s the only place that offers him the security he needs considering how famous he is. hwan hates it because he’s scared of heights. the apartment has three bedrooms but it’s on the smaller side. the first bedroom is pretty small and is mostly used as a studio. the second one is a guest bedroom, where andy sleeps most of the time when he’s over and doesn’t sleep in hwan’s bed. and then the last one is hwan’s bedroom, with all of his stuff, his clothes and whatnot.

that was the age she moved into the first trainee dorm, in a different company from gold star. from there she went straight to gold star’s dorms and hasn’t moved back home since. as soon as fuse was allowed to move out, kyunghwa bought herself her own place, partially with the money she made from being in the group but mostly with her parents’ money. her relationship with her mother in particular has always been pretty bad and kyunghwa didn’t want to submit herself to the shitty treatment she’d be given if she had stayed in her parents’ place. so she bought an apartment in a high rise, famous for being the place of residency of several celebrities, with a view of the han river.

it’s a three bedroom apartment, one of the biggest in the building, with large floor to ceiling windows. a lot of it is described overall in the self para. like it was mentioned, kyunghwa decided to be mostly in charge of decorating the place. she wanted an apartment that felt like home, not some place so minimalistic or clean that she had the feeling she was living in a hotel room. so the apartment has a lot of colors and a bunch of plants – whenever cherry isn’t around she pays someone to water them. the furniture is mostly used or at least vintage, in colors like blue and a soft yellow. the couch has a lot of pillows as well as a warm, colorful quilt because she tends to sleep on the couch often.

kyunghwa gave free reign for her brothers to decorate their respective bedrooms to their own will. neither of them officially live with her but yul comes around whenever he can and iseul sleeps over more often than not, especially because kyunghwa is way more lenient with the time he comes in than their mother is. as much as she pretends otherwise, kyunghwa likes the company. it was overwhelming to live with four girls that she only grew to love with time but sharing a place with her brothers is comfortable. they don’t disrespect her limits and her space, they mostly abide to her rules and they keep her from feeling completely lonely.

the master bedroom is her favorite place in the house, not only because it’s hers but because it’s all handpicked by herself. kyunghwa has a queen bed, where she keeps at least three layers of blankets even during summer. her ac is constantly on when she’s home because kyunghwa hates hot weather and there’s not as much heating in her room as the rest of the house because she prefers the winter chill. there’s enough space for a desk but she barely uses it and tends to use her laptop more in bed. there used to be a vanity space leading to her en suite bathroom but she had it converted into a walk in closet where she keeps most of her clothes. her bathroom is kept with dimmed lights most of the time unless she’s putting on make up because she goes there to relax. the bathtub is kyunghwa’s favorite place for a nap.

this was all his manager’s idea. jinsun would have been more than happy to continue with group activities, but apparently his image still needed work. they thought this would help him. he was sure nothing would at this point in charm’s career and was perfectly content with that. he didn’t even mind the concept of the show, but it was the idea that it would help him that drove him nuts. however, bc was less so. and for that, he was filming on his own terms — late at night, in his own element. they had wanted something softer, early in the morning when he was just waking up, but he felt better this way, felt more comfortable with people seeing him at the end rather than the beginning. 

“it’s about 10 pm,” he lied easily, faking a glance down at a watch he never wore ( a gift from a fan, far too expensive and shiny for him ) as he settled into his couch. “forgive me for filming this before bed, charm has been working hard to show you all our best selves,” he explained, setting his camera on his counter, letting his smile turn more sheepish, seemingly embarrassed as he fiddled with the edge of the oversized bee shirt he had put on before he left the studio.

despite what his managers thought, his personality and image were both carefully planned, easily turned on when he needed it to be. just because he wasn’t invested didn’t mean he wouldn’t keep the soft smiles and sweet, boy next door image up. he allowed his expression to become more serious, look more like a member of the leader line. “i know you all had some questions for me but, uh...” as quickly as he put it on, it slipped away, the dimples reappearing as he seemingly searched the space in front of him. “i don’t have my — found them! — glasses on.” he put the glasses on, not even meant for reading, and picked up the piece of paper to read from. 

“do i currently live in a dorm, with your family, or...” he mumbled to himself, tilting his head so his hair would flop over the side. “ah! charm was recently approved to move out of the dorms if we wished, so i live on my own now.” the smile faltered, dipping for just a moment to look more thoughtful, allowing a little bit of sadness to seep into his features more naturally. “truthfully, it’s been hard. i had a big family growing up and, with charm, had twelve brothers,” he mused, with a small sigh, bringing back the smile, more subdued. “i have never lived completely on my own before. it can be lonely, but the quiet is nice.” 

“the biggest challenge...of living with others would probably be that i am shyer, especially at first,” he explained, gesturing with his hands so he wouldn’t tap his fingers. it would look too impatient, whereas it was more a sign of his inability to sit still. “with my members and my seniors in the company, it’s easier, because i know them well, but i can be quite quiet on first meeting.” the explanation had been given so many times, it didn’t sound rehearsed anymore. it flowed easily, different words for the same song. “but i’d like to move past my shyness and show everyone a more open sunny.” 

jinsun glanced at his paper, trying to give the appearance that he really cared, maybe was even a bit nervous about this audition. “ah, i mentioned it briefly, but the hardest part for me now is living alone. i’m still adjusting to it and i miss the noise of the dorms most of the times.” this lie slipped off his tongue as easily as the first had. living alone was a blessing, the first time he had peace and quiet since he was very young. he did love his members, but in his own way — he didn’t need them with him constantly. “the boys have become home for me, so it feels like being away right now. but i — ah, i’ll just show you,” he mused with an easy chuckle, picking up the camera and moving to show the photos in the windowsill, carefully placed earlier for this very video.

“i’ve started decorating now.” there weren’t any of his actual family, the photos of his sisters and mother carefully tucked away in his bedroom to avoid showing them publicly, only keeping one that didn’t show their faces. “photos of family, i have some gifts from the members and my sisters too. it definitely helps make the place feel like home.” moving the camera through to show a wide shot, photos carefully hung throughout, little touches of life were scattered throughout the shot — just not his. 

he switched the camera back around to himself, smiling brightly. “doesn’t it look nice? ah, anyways, i should really try to get to bed. it’s past time for me.” he lifted his hand to wave, eyes crinkling happily at the camera in a way he knew fans loved. “thank you kindly for listening to me and considering me. i hope to see you soon!” 

so... sung Technically lives in the element dorms, like he still has to go there every day for schedule stuff, BUT he spends most of his after schedule days and nights at daisuke’s apartment

daisuke’s gone a lot and sung isn’t out of the country so often atm so it’s up to him to take care of their kitty

he thought when element were allowed out of their dorms they might continue to live together because they were used to it, but that if the other members wanted to split off, he’d go back to living with his family

even if they’re being dickbags at the moment he still loves and misses them a lot

but that’s not the case since he’ll be moving in with daisuke when their four years are up

but when it comes to living w him,,,,,

he’s one of those messy people thats like there’s a system to my mess i can find anything in it

which is false he loses things a lot

and drops off his clothes on the ground

bih shoves them under his bed when he’s got company bc hes a CHILD

he also is a shit cook. he can make good ramen and that’s about it

he’s rlly trying to get better but he has no natural talent for it and julien solomitas it up with inaccurate everything

thank god he comes from a restaurant family amiright

he likes his styling to feel Warm and Homey

he does that with knick knacks, pictures on the walls, fun colors, tight spaces. it’s one of the things about his and daisuke’s place that has a bit of contention, because daisuke likes things clean and minimalistic, while sung wants organized clutter

in his dorm room, he has a massive bookshelf, floor to ceiling, and still more books that can’t fit onto it properly

he also has other shelving, and loads of knick knacks scattered amongst it all

he’s a v sentimental boi, so he ends up keeping everything people give to him, including all of his gifts from daisuke that are scattered around

also a Lot of stuffed animals. there’s a collection he keeps on his bed, and sometimes cycles around so the other stuffed animals don’t get jealous. and he likes sleeping with a stuffed animal, even when he’s cuddling with someone to sleep

he also likes an array of houseware. as much as he can be that naive baby, he’s also the type to move into a new place with everything he needs ahead of time. all different kinds of pots and pans, nice dishes, everyday dishes, a good amount of utensils, towels, laundry soap, all the things that young people tend to forget to buy

he likes disney themed dishes as well, those ones with pictures on the plates and shit, or cups with princesses on them

also keeps ice packs in the fridge for post dance practice, cold medicine in the bathroom, and vitamin c tablets in case someone starts feeling like they might get sick

and tea! he loves a good cup of tea so he has a bunch of different types and flavoring, though raspberry green tea is usually his go to

oh my god and the blankets

he has a collection of blankets (similar to his collection of sweaters ,,, that mostly are daisuke’s sweaters that he’s stolen, but these blankets are all his)

you know how there’s that meme about going to a sleepover when you’re younger and they only give you the scratchy blanket? not at sung’s place. bih will give you an option of the ten best of his blankets lmao

some are plain colored, but some have designs on them. idol groups or disney characters, mostly

his walls are typical teenage gay boy mixed with pinterest white girl because he has loads of posters of his faves (cough and a shrine) but ALSO string lights and polaroid pictures of him and his friends/boyfriend

okay i’m gonna stop there bc this is getting too long but here’s some pics of sim sung’s half of his room (the brown door leads to their closet)

was there anything in this world minzy hated more than auditions? she doubted it. still, here she was, texts from her manager pulled up on her cell phone, reading through them, trying to commit them to memory. when she was satisfied, she turned off the screen dim timer just in case she needed a refresher and turned on a camera. flipping the screen so she could see everything on it, she brought it to her bed. 

"hello, my name is minzy. i'm twenty one and i'm 7rophy's rapper. please view my audition with favor." the words felt clunky as she said them, but maybe that wasn't so bad. it wasn't as if she was exactly suited for variety, and she liked her home. it was just the right size for herself and eunah. why should she be on a show about living elsewhere?

"i live with my groupmate and friend eunah and our cat crys. we left the dorms earlier this year, and it's treating me well. i think i do best when i'm comfortable, which eunah makes me." there's a hint of a smile when she talks about her closest and most beloved friend, breaking her usually stoic expression. 

"i think the biggest struggle for me in regards to living with people would be discomfort in general. i don't like sharing personal space with people i don't know well. i'm not comfortable with the thought of strangers - even kind ones - living with me." she tucked one leg beneath her and leg to other dangle as she spoke. "i find it hard to connect with someone if i can't have space to do it, as well." that wasn't strictly true, but it was as close as she could imagine getting to the truth without her manager snapping at her for being too negative. the truth was, while she could be friendly in general, it was hard to even want to develop a working relationship while in close quarters. it had taken long enough for her to warm up to 7rophy - and that was the thing. it had taken more time than space (though she did like her space). she didn't want to be on this show. 

peeking at her phone, she hummed thoughtfully. "there's really nothing hard about my situation home life right now. the apartment is still new, but eunah and i are really good at living together by now. we're pretty similar in a lot of ways, which makes us well-suited, i think. i thought crys would be harder to get used to, but he's just a baby."

a final peek at the screen. one more question. "i think my house became a home when eunah and i moved in, frankly. we're already practically family, so it's sort of a place to be together, if that makes sense. it's just so easy to be here." 

honesty was the best policy, right? she wasn't trying to impress anyone. this was just a gesture on dimensions' part to improve their relationship with the network. there was no way they would have even chosen her if she'd tried - people loved minzy's rapping, her writing, her stage presence. no one loved minzy for her personality. no one was likely to learn much of her personality, unless they were borderline obsessed with 7rophy.
