Send â for a future (post-idol life) headcanon. ( 246 words )
even just a couple of years ago, hyeju would have never imagined herself to continue down a path in the entertainment industry once lipstick disbanded. around the time of goeunâs departure was when she was the most struck with how fickle the idol life can be, and she imagined that she could most likely live with the money she had saved up from her life as a lipstick member. realistically, that would have been completely possible. the perks she gets for being part of what was once considered the nationâs girl group.Â
now, however, sheâs feeling a little more confident than she used to, and she thinks sheâd miss the stage if she were to leave it forever. it was around the time of blue moonâs release and the unexpected success of that plus i just wanna dance that gave her hope and a newfound passion for performing. hyeju found that since she spent so many years not caring about her career and simply doing whatever she was told to do, she has so much to explore about herself as an entertainer and artist. so sheâs hoping that she can stay an idol for a little longer. while sheâs not certain how many years lipstick still has under its belt, she would like to continue a solo career ifâs possible. afterwards, when everybody has lost their interest in her, and she officially becomes a has-been idol, sheâll probably go into choreographing or teaching dance to students.

hyeju has very few social networking accounts. she has an instagram, a twitter and an account on lipstickâs daum fancafe. she rarely uses any of them because she finds social networking sites a bore, and she could never fully understand the appeal of them. out of the three, however, she probably uses instagram the most only because itâs the only one she knows how to use. itâs pretty simply: you pick a photo, caption it, upload it and voila. itâs simple enough for her, but she doesnât do anything else on it. her fans were upset at first because hyeju only posts for important events such as music show wins, comebacks or award show wins. she tries her best to upload something for her birthday, but thereâs times when she even forgets that. in the past couple of months, sheâs gotten a little better at updating her instagram but because her former activity was so bad, her current efforts are the bare minimum as well.Â
if someone were to ask her if she remembers her twitter password, she would probably answer that she doesnât, and thatâs partially true. the last tweet or retweet is probably from 2016 during lipstickâs party and lion heart promotions. her fans have given up trying to get her to use it again.
the fancafe itself has become inactive with fans moving onto other platforms, but hyeju still uses it when she wants to leave longer letters or things she finds inappropriate to upload onto instagram. instagram is for pictures and very short captions while sheâll use the fancafe to write longer posts. however, even her long posts arenât really that long. sheâs truly a female of few words, but itâs just that she has a hard time expressing her gratitude through words.

one of the few things that hyeju is truly confident in is her stage presence and performance ability. though she isnât lipstickâs main dancer, she believes that she has a different dancing style from minhee which helps her stand out even as a lead dancer though she will never argue when people point out that their youngest member is the strongest member. thatâs simply a fact especially on technical levels.
when it comes to her dancing abilities, hyejuâs style would most likely be described as being powerful but fluid. she has good control especially over her torso which helps her in dances that require lots of waves and connecting. her weakest is probably popping or anything that requires full on power only. itâs also probably a stamina problem more than anything that she canât seem to fully execute dances that are powerful throughout.
hyeju has grown more interested in performance aspects recently and have started to seek out dance teachers who could help. she wants to begin to choreograph her own dances, and while sheâs done a few short things here and there, sheâs definitely lacking to truly call herself a choreographer. she came to realize that thereâs a clear difference between being a good dancer and being a good choreographer, and she would like to be able to fit into the latter category as much as she fits into the former.
For someone her age, Sooah is surprisingly disinterested in social media. She does have an Instagram account that was made around March 2018 to celebrate her third anniversary in Fuse but she doesnât post much there. Itâs updated when fans do some nice surprise for her or her members or to celebrate her birthday or Fuseâs debut. She does post more pictures if sheâs out of the country though, for some reason she feels safer doing that because she has the feeling that crazy fans wouldnât appear abroad to taunt her, which is actually a very silly thought because thereâll be crazy people anywhere.
Her username is @fusecsoo, very original but every other obvious choice was already taken by the time she started using that app.
YouTube counts as social media? Because if it does, then Sooah uses all of the time that she doesnât spend in other platforms watching videos there. Sometimes they are relevant, like the time she was trying to learn a new language or when she was watching cover dances and being amazed with how talented those people were, other times itâll be a complete waste of time. She would argue and say that watching cats doing tricks and people doing extremely dangerous things arenât a waste of time but well, thatâs subjective.

suji has been told that sheâs a strong performer. not in terms of dancing skills because itâs a well known fact that she is not the strongest dancerâshe does the bare minimum to be able to keep up with fuseâs choreography but ask her to freestyle, and she might just start cryingâbut more in that she has the ability to shine on stage.Â
most of the time, the compliments come from her hard working attitude. she has to put in twice or thrice the effort to be able to keep up with her group members when it comes to performances, but the hard work is visible enough that people recognize it. though she may have been the target of criticism regarding her dancing at the beginning of her debut, it waned out because her fans would comment on how âshe was tryingâ or âat least she isnât slacking offâ and surprisingly, it worked. people wonât be ranking her as the top five dancers of her generation, but she doesnât get called out on it which is enough.Â
overall, sheâs labeled a strong performer because despite the disadvantage she has of being a poor dancer, she does well during her parts and shows that sheâs put in the hard work. sheâs definitely much more charismatic during her solo stages, however, where she can usually capture an audience with her voice alone.

sooyeon once asked her if sheâd forgotten the password to her instagram. embarrassingly, she did not. suji just prefers not to use it. sheâs not a fan of social media in general though she does have a number of accounts for fan interactions.Â
her fancafe account is probably used the most. she finds it a safe environment as it only consists of fuse members and people who are indeed fans of the group. she feels like she can write heartfelt letters to her fans and know that itâd be appreciated. itâs a judgement free zone as an artist, and she appreciates seeing the letters that people leave behind. of course, with other social media sites taking more dominance, the amount of people who actually use fancafes seem to be decreasing, but suji is adamant on visiting it at least twice a week to check up on what her fans are writing about.Â
next, she does have an instagram account (@baeksujis because she isnât creative at all), but she only really posts on it for special occasions. such occasions include music releases (for both fuse and solo projects), a message of gratitude (i.e: winning at a music show or an awards show), or to promote something that she was either asked to promote or she wants to (products that she advertises or when friends of herâs releases things that she genuinely enjoys). other than times like these, she doesnât even open the app. browsing through instagram sounds like a boring hobby, and she doesnât see the appeal in it.Â
she also has a soundcloud that she hopes to utilize more, but she rarely uploads any free music because she feels like anything that isnât picked for her solo albums arenât good enough to be released. a lot of her covers are uploaded on instagram instead because they are usually live studio versions where she likes having a video rather than audio-only. so itâs pretty dormant though if she finds more confidence in her music then sheâd like to activate it a bit more in the future.

as a main vocalist, there is no doubt that suji takes pride in her voice and vocal abilities. she thinks that fuseâs songs donât always do her justice as they donât showcase her full potential. this is is why she ventured into writing music for herself. it took a few pushes, but she finally got on board with giving herself the opportunities if nobody was going to do it for her. a lot of the music she composes she does for herself unless she is specifically asked to write one for someone else which is why the genre is rather limited to ballads or r&bs as she thinks that fits her voice the most.Â
her voice color is rather light and clean as some people have described it (she does take on gyuriâs actual vocal tone), but it does become stronger with more power pushed through it (as the wendy position, she shares wendyâs vocal range and strength). however, she thinks her voice sounds better with songs that donât require belting of high notes. she can do it, yes, itâs within her ability, but she believes that her color gets lost a little when sheâs simply singing out high notes. her lower range is a lot more attractive in her opinion, and she likes being able to utilize it whenever she can.Â
Send â Â for a public image headcanon. ( 231 words )
jaeinâs public image is very straightforward and can probably be split up into three categories: leader, energizer and variety-dol. as the leader, sheâs meant to set an example for the rest of her members anywhere they go. sheâs supposed to be that bright, candy-like leader thatâs always enthusiastic about everything and steps forward if nobody else does. itâs expected that sheâs constantly smiling, and that she never shows her weaknesses. dimensions have made it pretty clear that they want only perfection out of her because her image is essentially lucidâs image.Â
since lucidâs debut, she had been pushed onto variety shows and meant to become the variety-dol of the group. on variety shows, she showcases an image thatâs completely different from her usual self. to someone who is usually a lot more mellow and calm, it was difficult for jaein to get used to acting out and volunteering for things. she feels like she was never meant to be in the spotlight for anything and yet here she is: constantly being in the center of everything. on variety shows, sheâs energetic and bubbly. her recent running man appearance was a good example of what happens when jaein fulfills this image out well. dancing ridiculously and then changing 180 to her âgirl groupâ image; running out to the center to promote the groupâs song. itâs what every leader should be doing, right?
Send ⥠for a social media headcanon. ( 319 words )
in par with the leader image, jaein sets an example to communicate with her fans. as she is still part of a rookie group, the only social media that jaein has is instagram and even that is a group instagram. she tries her best to post at least every single week even if she really has nothing to talk about. it becomes a little easier to post something when sheâs in a variety show or has done something worth posting about during the week.Â
her posts tend to be short when itâs about nothing special. she tends to post mostly pictures of herself or the other members because she finds that itâs those pictures that their fans actually want to see. not saying that itâs bad to post pictures of the sky or the food that oneâs eaten, but sheâs not really into the idea of sharing everything about her daily life to her fans. she doesnât even do that with her friends so why bother with her fans? this means that she spends quite a lot of time making sure she takes enough pictures when she does have schedules (aka when she has makeup on) so that she can save to post them for when lucid isnât promoting.
however, sheâs not a huge fan of social media, and she doesnât bother reading the comments that people leave in the comments. that may go against the purpose of trying to communicate with her fans, but she doesnât want to scroll through a bunch of meaningless comments that are usually either a) complimenting her or b) hating on her. she gets enough of that from the company.Â
vlives arenât usually turned on without permission from the company so that also means she doesnât voluntarily decide to do a vlive. most of the times, thatâs saved for during promotions or when she absolutely has to do one with another group member.Â

joohwan doesnât hate idol life. there are a lot of things he wishes he didnât have to deal with but itâs not one that he hates all that much. what truly bothers him is the level of fame originâs reached and how heâs not allowed to exist and do things without everybody paying ten times the usual level of attention. itâs stifling and bothersome â it makes living more complicated than it should be. still, he has to continue being an idol for as long as originâs contract is running anyway. hwan has one advantage that is he doesnât have to enlist, so he never has to worry about those two years heâd have to spend in the military.
pretty much all of his plans for after origin disbands involve andy. in the cheesiest way possible, hwan knows the two of them are going to end up getting married at one point and he doesnât really see himself being with anyone else. they just fit. so whenever his anxiety even remotely allows for him to think about the future without freaking out a little bit, he envisions a future with andy.
as of now, the plans are for the two of them to move somewhere they can get married and live a chill life. canada holds too many bad memories for them to move there and hwan refuses to even consider the possibility of living in the united states. so they will be moving to new zealand, with hwan buying a farm for them because andy loves animals and itâs a good way to keep active. among the animals in their farm they are going to have chickens, cows, horses, pigs, ducks, sheep, goats, snake and the usual cats and dogs.
with the sheer amount of money hwan makes out of origin as well as his solo work, he doesnât have to worry about his financial life. by the time they moved heâd have finished his chemistry degree and, hopefully, gotten his masters. so at best heâd do some minimal research work in between working at the farm. hwan will definitely miss performing but heâd try to keep up with the dancing and singing but both of those as hobbies rather than his actual work.
joohwan and andy are definitely getting married. hwan would want a proper ceremony but the guest list would be super short and probably only include his and andyâs closest friends as well as the members of origin and charm, whoever andy likes among them, and some of hwanâs family members. they are also adopting two kids eventually, a boy and a girl. joohwanâs always wanted to have kids and whereas andy is more on the neutral side, they both come to the agreement that two kids are good enough.
itâs honestly the perfect picture of a happy ending of sorts. it doesnât mean they are not going to have issues, that joohwan is not going to get shit from his fans eventually because of it, or that everything bad thatâs ever happened to him is going to disappear but after all that heâs been through, itâs fair to project a good and chill life for him with the man he loves, with some animals and kids.
minjung was mainly known for showing her own artwork rather than post selfies or some other aesthetically pleasing photos of a cafe on her instagram. but some of her artwork got completely weird because sheâs so weird, and fans started having a very negative reaction calling her odd, and asking if she was just on drugs all the time. gold star didnât like it, and now they heavily monitor what she posts, which now consists of selfies.
she doesnât know how to use twitter thus doesnât have her own account. instead, she just allows the officials to update fuseâs account on her behalf which mainly consists of just updates on their comeback/teasers. really, twitter is the most confusing and thatâs the last social media sheâll ever use.
soundcloud. she has a private soundcloud (peachyjane), but many fans can speculate its hers by her voice. there she uploads covers of songs using her so-called âreal singing voiceâ. she picks songs from all over western and korean, and does a very raw attempt when approaching these songs. sheâll strum on her guitar or play the piano to accompany her voice.
deviantart. yes. she has one that she signed up for when she was in middle school and still has the same username, âx0janexDDâ. it was mainly used to search for art inspiration and upload her weird drawings, and now she just uses it for the same purpose albeit she doesnât use it as much as she used to.
Send â for a voice-related (singing or rapping) headcanon.
She has a squeaky, nasally voice. Thatâs all there is to it. Its terrible to her ears, but because her range is so wide in that nasally voice, her brothers originally told her that if she wanted to become an idol, she might as well learn to become an opera singer just like their mother. She has a charismatic voice, and can do runs quite well for singing, in all honesty. She just doesnât really like singing much, because it reminds her of her third older brother, and despite the memories being good in its entirety, she doesnât like to recall the relation that singing has to her kind brother, and the things that he suffered through--which was why she was fine with BC actually telling her to learn rapping instead.Â
Rapping gave her an outlet to express herself, apart from the artistic and lyrical aspect of it, since she wrote her own songs. And learning the style of rapping, the charisma and required stage presence for rapping from Yonce was something that became a pretty huge thing for her, allowing her to find her own rapping style and significant presence, which was why she always has nothing but respect for Yonce.Â
