but yeah here are some of the few OYS drawings i did back then (it was mostly planning back in those dark ages rather than drawn out) and loooooooooooooooooooooordy those were dark, DARK times
god my style was so unanimated and horrible ughhhuhuhuhhhh
some doodles of Alae in his toddler years (at least until he’s 4).Â
yeah he was cute; that quiet shy kid until he around age 5 and then he shifted to be more emotional and outspoken. But up to that point, he was the tiny little kid who never really said anything unless it was important or he thought his parents wanted to hear (like “i love you.” or “the sky’s blue”. ya know kid logic)Â
also even though Alae’s wings aren’t a bluebird’s (each angel has a bird except for mixed bloods) his parents call him “Their Little Bluebird” since he was a quiet baby and his wings were ever so slightly a pale blue.Â
Since Alae’s sworn to Holy Code, he can’t talk in detail about Heaven or Angel culture/traditions. And this sucks for Ian who, as a scientific-minded kid, wants to learn all he can about it. So when he meets Magnus (who is the first Angel he’s met who has earned their halo and therefore isn’t held to code anymore) he asks a BUNCH of questions.Â
Questions that... well... carry different meanings than he intended.Â
They WILL be answered in this chapter though (but its like 60 something)

Here are the birthday cards I painted for my uncle and grandma, respectively; they have the same birthday. I decided to paint them in the style of Art Nouveau/Alphonse Mucha (my fave art era and illustrator) and i may or may not be continuing with the idea done in my uncle's card... Can't say how though! ;)
Alae says “screw your gender norms” because there’s nothing to be ashamed of feeling good and treating yourself well!Â
mainly drew these because i’ve been stiff the last few days and it hit me that i havent been to a spa in like 10 years. i’m really self-conscious so that’s a big reason why, but i can say with full confidence that Alae would have no shame going to one. In fact, just to prove it, I’ll draw this in the comic in Act2 and Alae will have floral nail polish for a chapter and a half.
Because if he wants to feel great, he will.
