A last minute quidditch practice was the last thing that Bette wanted today, with her first date with Wally a little less than 5 hours away, but unfortunately, she still had to go. Otherwise, she would get a long, drawn out speech from Karen tonight about how Bette needed to stop consorting with the 'enemy' seeker and take her position as chaser more seriously.
So, Bette trudged onto the field, wearing a baggy hoodie and capri yoga pants that had been worn to practice many a time, and was used to being drenched in mud on occasion. With her Firebolt 3000 in hand, Bette shivered as the January wind blew around her, and made her way towards Karen, who was standing by the locker room entrance.
"Hey Captain Beecher," The blonde grinned, and saluted her friend, "Chaser Kane, reporting for practice!"
