Bdubs instructs as he lays the person in his back seat, careful to keep them steady and not pinch any other hybrid features he may not have noticed. "You're most definitely bleeding internally, I've gotta drive fast to get you to the lab in time." "Isn't that where the blood is supposed to be?" The hybrid slurs as Bdubs presses his legs aside to buckle them in. "Ow, my everything." "Oh Doc and Beef are gonna love you." Bdubs grumbles sarcastically as he moves the hybrid's tail so it doesn't get caught in the door when he shuts it. "I need you to keep talking. I don't care what about, but I need to know you're alive while I break every speed limit in the next city."

The open empty fields are a seamless backdrop to how alone Bdubs suddenly feels. The lightly yellowed stalks are endless from this part of the road. They have nothing stopping them as they stretch out into forever. The dirt road Bdubs drives on is a stark contrast by comparison, and yet identical. The dirt is pale and clear of debris from the constant traffic it garners. Yet there's no one else in the view. Bdubs is alone out here, the road endlessly leading to and from the horizon as it cuts the fields in half. His car smells clean and fresh in a way that is detached from how his body and emotions are rolling in waves. The distinct bite of burnt coffee still stings despite the delicate floral notes of rose draping over the seats. The blanket in the back seat makes everything stale as if the sage scented floor cleaners are being dried with proximity alone. The copper twang of old blood seems to haunt Bdubs’ mind even as the little yellow vanilla air freshener dangling from the rear-view mirror delicately dances through the air.

He woke up with a start, wings flaring with his alarm. He was still sitting in his nest, and as he took fast breaths, he could feel his lungs beginning to fill with air as thick as a winter blanket. He panicked, making a worried noise as he pulled out his com to call for help, typing in the main chat for help, that he couldn't breathe. He tried to stand, to get himself out of his nest to be found, but his legs were still shaky from the respawn and getting heavier with every second and all he could do was collapse back onto the blankets and pillows. Panic filled him, causing him to breathe faster, why was he suddenly not able to breathe the air? He couldn't wrap his mind around it, his mind beginning to fuzz again as his erratic breathing and speeding heart made him lose precious oxygen that much faster. He saw the black spots again just as he felt the first buzz of a response, and felt as his body began to lay down on its own accord as he felt more. His vision left him and the chill hand of death grabbed his code again.
