She officially met Lily in second year when she, Severus, Edmund, Bruce, Charity, and Aurora were sitting outside just hanging out when Lily Evans walked over to Snape saying something about how he didn't show up to the library for their History of Magic Goblin War Paper and how she had to start it without him and Kiran was immediately smitten by the hot-headed ginger but she knew how Sev felt about her so she tried not to think about how gorgeous she looked and that's when Lily shocked her back to reality by asking who she was and Kiran immediately felt herself turning red as she stuttered "I'm Ki-Kiran."

"Kiran?" Lily asked

"Kiran Potter" Kira stated

"Oh God please don't tell me you're related to James!" Lily moaned rolling her eyes in frustration

"That's her twin can you believe it?" Charity said and Kira fought the urge to nudge her but she was too focused on how gorgeous Lily was to do anything

"There are two of him?!? Ugh and I thought my luck couldn't get any worse!" Lily complained

"We may be twins but I am a different completely separate person!" Kira said before she could stop herself quickly irritated by the constant James comparisons she'd been getting since her first day at Hogwarts

"Oh" Lily said looking a little shocked by Kira's eagerness to correct her before going back to berating Sev for leaving her to do most of the work herself as he apologized profusely for forgetting saying he'd make it up to her.

And that little interaction left a lasting impression on her. Along with Lily constantly being top of their class in nearly every subject. Sev always mentioned how she would lecture him for being so good at Potions which led to Kira daydreaming about Lily lecturing her on well anything.

She never did anything about her growing crush especially since James was already driving Lily mad with all his exceedingly extravagant attempts to get her attention, Kira knew she couldn't add to them. If she didn't want one Potter nagging her why would she want two?

Eventually James seemed to get over her moving onto another subject, Regulus Black which annoyed Kira to no end. Regulus was her friend first! It was bad enough that all of Hogwarts seemed to bend to James' will so why couldn't James just leave her friends alone! It was bad enough he was hogging Peter.

Regulus would beg Kira to get James to stop hitting on him and she'd try to talk to James but nothing could convince him to do anything unless he wanted to (other than their parents but she wasn't going to write her parents because James was pissing off her friend). She told Regulus that maybe if he just gave him a chance he'd leave him alone after a while but instead Regulus fell for James!

When Kira prodded it out of Regulus that he liked James she could hardly believe it. How could her best friend fall for her brother??? Regulus confessed to having a crush on James for years but not having the courage to say anything because he didn't want to ruin their friendship but after her advice to give him a chance he took that as her blessing and begged her not to be mad. She asked if it'd be the same with Sirius. If she had a crush on Sirius this whole time would he let her date them no questions asked? He said it was more complicated than that and she exclaimed "It wasn't different at all! It is exactly that!" And he said "I never said you couldn't ask questions." smugly which just pissed her off. Eventually she did except them and give them her blessing properly but that meant that she should be able to seek Lily out, right?

"James has Regulus now he wouldn't mind me pursuing Lily. Would he?" She thought

She'd tried to ask Charity what she thought but she was an only child so she didn't understand. Hestia only had younger siblings but she said it seemed fair but Kira should ask before making a move just to be sure. So she did.

"You have a crush on Lily Evans!?!?!?!?!" James exclaimed

"Shhhhhhhhhh! James shut up!" she shushed because he just yelled in the Library as she felt her cheeks turn bright pink

"Sorry I just- wasn't expecting that. James said, It seems we aren't so different after all, huh? Not only do we share glasses prescription but taste in woman too."

"Ya I guess" Kira said trying not to think too hard about how ridiculous her brother was at times.

"Do- did you ever have a crush on me?" Regulus asked, who'd been sitting next to James the whole time, looking a little nervous.

She'd come out to him long ago she'd known she was into women for a long time just like he knew he was a boy so when he told her she felt it was only fair that she share that part of herself too.

"No, no Reg I never had a crush on you!" Kira said honestly

"Oh okay. It would be alright if you did just thought I'd ask." Regulus said timidly looking a little relieved

"Well I'm fine with you dating her, Ki. I'm perfectly happy in my relationship so I don't mind at all." James said genuinely gripping Reg's pale hand a little tighter looking at him with that gross soft look in his eye.

"Okay, thanks James." Kira said interrupting their moment

"If you ever need advice on how to get Lily to positively swoon I-" James started

"Considering you tried for 5, almost 6 years with no luck I think I'm better off without your advice Jam Jam." Kira stated abruptly interrupting him

James made a noise as if he'd been struck, "I'll have you know we did go on a date before my interests turned to my priẏa tārā!" he admitted looking back over at Regulus with that look in his eye again

"You did not!" Kira said immediately knowing her brother must be making this up

"Well when you start dating you should ask her or better yet ask McKinnon they helped me pick out the best cologne to wear!"

"Oh I will! Now I've got a date to plan see you later!" Kira said walking out of the library as she heard Regulus ask James if Marls helped him pick his cologne for their first date.
