Evolutionarily speaking, humans are going to begin to move from a reptilian based brain to a floral based brain.

The human brain is composed of two main parts; the stem and the cortex. The stem controls the automatic functions of the body, the necessary biological functions, being very basic evolutionarily, and resembling the reptilian brain; one that is primarily automatic, necessary, and basic. The cortex is bulb shaped, and is responsible for all of the higher cognitive functioning, the abstract thought, found in most humans. Already, human brains resemble flowers consisting of both a bulb and a stem, with a system of neurons running throughout similar to a system of roots or branches as seen in flowers and other plants.

This flower brain explains why scent is the strongest sense tied to memory. A large part of memory storage is based around scents. Similarly to flowers, humans process, encode, and store new information at night, and as they continue to evolve, they will do so even more. Humans will also move towards empathetic telepathy; the conscious feeling and understanding of others based on the emitting of either wavelengths or aromas from the floral based brain.
