Flipships is a game for 1-4 players that re-creates the feeling of playing the video game Galaga, where you’re shooting down advancing hordes of alien invaders.
You flick your disc-shaped ship from the launch pad (wooden block) and if it lands on an enemy ship (card), they’re destroyed. But some are tricksy, with shield abilities and or requiring two hits. Whenever a ship gets low enough, it attacks the city. As the city takes damage, new and more powerful ships unlock for you to use. If the city ever takes too much damage, game over man! Plus there’s a big ass mothership you have to take down. Destroy it and all the incoming ships and you’re a hero!
It’s a game where a good flip makes you feel awesome, and a bad flip makes you feel like a chud. The powers are cool, the art is striking, and the rules are simple. Check it out!
