“Can’t we just leave camp, now? I mean, ceremony or no, I’m old enough now, right?” A young spotted molly badgers another, bouncing on her paws as she stood.

The other she-cat chuckles softly, rolling her eyes and giving her clanmate a playful bump with her shoulder. “True, but it would be a little awkward for Cliffpaw to call you up only for you to not be there. Besides, you wanna be there for his warrior ceremony, don’t you Flippaw?”

Flipkit lets out a groan, all but collapsing into the grass beneath her. “I guess.” She sits quietly for a moment, pouting and stealing a look up at Amberpaw, only to be disappointed when the other is barely paying her any mind. “Do you think StarClan will be there? Er, I mean… like, is Cliffpaw going to pick his own name? Is Cliffpaw going to pick my name?”

“Y’know, I’m honestly not sure. We could ask him; do you want Cliffpaw to pick your warrior name?” Without a leader, it was the four of them to decide what would and would not be proper procedure in going forward -- at least, unless StarClan indicated otherwise.

The spotted tabby jolts up from her slumped position, sticking her tongue out. “As-if! There’s no way Cliffpaw would give me a cool enough name.”

Amberpaw quirks an eyebrow at Flipkit. “Cool enough? Well, if you’re trying for a cool suffix, maybe you should try perfecting hunting in the snow. Ah, or maybe you could pick up ice-fishing!” She meows with a teasing grin, pulling Flipkit close. “I can picture it already; Flipfrost, the masterful fisher!”

“Nooo! Not that cool!” Flipkit laughs, pushing Amberpaw away.

“Too cool? Hm, okay. How about Flipsnow? Flipflurry?”

“Amberpaw! You know what I meant!”

Finally, Amberpaw breaks and begins to laugh as well. “Yeah, yeah… so you’re okay with hanging on a little while longer while Cliffpaw gets himself ready?”
