Alright, maybe a little, but no one will notice a chocolate bar or two missing, right? Of course! And that’s why he’s here in this store, lingering around the aisle with snacks and sweets, sticking out like a sore thumb with how he’s dressed. 

Minding his own business, he looks around, humming as he slips a chocolate bar into his cloak, with intention of transporting it outside the store. This is, however, the exact moment his eyes lock with someone passing by.

Of course this has to happen when he needed eyes on him the least.

“Oh me, oh my! Sir, you’ve seen nothing, right? Well, nothing except these amazing discounts, I’d hope! Look at all this chocolate on sale due to Valentine’s coming up! My, what a time to be alive!” And so his theatrics begin, the chocolate swiftly thrown into his cloak’s pocket dimension for the time being.

Desperation for currency paired with the desperation for validation of her talents had paved the way for her decision to attempt street performing in hopes of getting hand-outs. She had learned early on that most people tended to have a soft spot for children and if her youthful appearance wasn’t enough to get the job done then the blonde had no qualms with stooping to lower means if it meant successfully gaining the pity of others and therefore conning them out of their money. A few white lies here and there had never hurt anybody, after all!

Having just wrapped up a song the android had chosen to take a small break, allowing herself to lean back against the brick wall of the building towering behind her for support. Today had been disappointingly slow, the amount of dust that she had received thus far was barely enough to even cover the the bottom of the otherwise empty jar that she insisted on carrying around with her during these little excursions.

Unaware of the presence of a stranger approaching, she startles when the jar suddenly fills up nearly halfway right before her very own eyes. She lifts her gaze quickly, expecting to come face to face with the stranger but gapes as she realizes that they have already walked past her and is continuing along with the path ahead. Another glance at the generous donation that he has left behind is stolen just before she quickly scoops the jar up into her arms, chasing after him and only slowing down once she has successfully caught up.

“Wait a second, gramps! You sure do walk fast for an old geezer!”

Though grateful, he’s going to have to work a little bit harder to earn her full respect should he ever so desire it.

“...Did you leave this much behind for me by mistake?”

This city he got thrown into was still new to him but now he actually was able to find his way around a little better. After asking some people he found out that Dazai wasn’t the only one who got abducted, there were a lot more like him who came from a completely different place, world even. And the detective would be lying if he wasn’t hoping that this was the kingdom of the dead, their last place of rest because this would mean that maybe just maybe he could see Oda again.

Wandering through the streets the brunet could have sworn he had seen his old friend a few times already but everytime he ran after them they turned out to be strangers. Was he really that desperate to find some familiarity in here, something to hold onto that he was reaching for the dead - the last straw. 

Lost in thought he ended up walking into someone. Those things never happened to him but when his mind was racing like that, especially when it was about Oda, he couldn’t pay attention to where he was going. “I’m sorry.” Originally he had planned to brush this off with a quick apology and a smile but when the other turned around and he saw their face--
