15年振りくらいかな、Shoyoと再会。変わってなかったな、Shoyo。彼は現在、京都のc teatroという店でシェフをやってます。美味しかった。
I reunited with Shoyo, it’s been around 15 years. He did not change at all, Shoyo. He currently works as a chef in a restaurant called c teatro in Kyoto. It was delicious.
Note: It’s Shoyo Iida of Flatbacker/EZO. Shoyo lived in NYC since late 80s and he was close friends with MORRIE. He recorded guitar parts for MORRIE’s solo songs: “ 眺めのいいあなた” from his 1990 album “ignorance” and “ 猿の夢” from 1995 album “ 影の饗宴”. Shoyo was also a guitarist of NYC gothic rock/alternative band Sulfur, playing there together with TOKIE and Heather Paauwe, active in first half of 90s. Later Shoyo gave up on music and became a sushi chef. He worked in a restaurant in Miami, Florida, and it seems that just recently he came back to Japan with his own restaurant.
