Curiouser and Curiouser {Keigo&Yoruichi}
The Cabinet was weird, Keigo new that. Everyone knew that. For one, it was underground, and two, it seemed more like a very crazy person’s hoard than an actual shop. But, people still came in, and Keigo rarely went a day where the little bell over the door didn’t ring.
Today it had rung twice, once earlier by a young woman looking for an umbrella, which was handy because among all the weirdness was an entire wall of umbrellas and parasols - don’t ask Keigo the difference - in every shape size and vintage. So, that was one sale, and now someone Keigo had yet to fully see was poking around, obviously not overly interested in anything particular.
Suddenly, they came to s atop slightly out of his periphery and Keigo winced, realizing they’d found the possible illegal stuff.
“So um,” he said, straightening up and leaning over the counter, “before you ask, yes the owner swears everything here can be sold legally and no, I don’t know if that’s a real and also I have to close up soon so please don’t call the cops.”
Though he understood, given she was looking at a very real looking human hand holding a candle. He just wanted to break his 8 days without law enforcement being called streak - all he needed was two more shifts! He looked at the woman hopefully, something like recognition hitting him as he tried to convey all his wishes via unlikely telepathy. “Do I uh...know you?”
The lighting in this place was awful, everyone always looked like they were painted by that weird guy who didn’t know where noses went. Add in all the mirrors stashed around, and it wasn’t pretty. Keigo lost track of how many times his own reflection sent him diving for the floor.
