Orla was understandably too busy caring about her nose to actually acknowledge that. If she took it in later on it was in a 'oh' way. She was young when it happened, kids have trouble not being preoccupied with themselves.
Percy was mad if MC hurt their mother if it was their father he just pretended to feel bad.
Sally was stressing because he had to juggle feeling bad for his parents, his sister and trying to excuse MC's actions by saying something like "their just a kid they didn't know any better" which made Orla throw him out of her room.
If you chose a knife then yeah they weren't allowed them for a few years afterwards. Their allowed to use them now a rule doesn't by nature stay in place for over a decade in a family so prone to willful forgetfullness
