"We need to change your bandages soon" Rolia would be fun but choose whoever
Sorry I held on to this for so long, I kept meaning to add on to it but decided that this was as good as it’s going to get.
“Rolia, please, just take a break for a few minutes.” Grillby asked, taking a seat beside her at her dining table, which currently served as a work desk. She was hunched over in her chair, and had been for the past few hours. She kept saying ‘in a minute’ whenever he’d ask her to stop to change the bandages on her arms from training the other day with Undyne. “We need to change your bandages soon.”
“In a minute.” She assured, sounding like a broken record at this point.
Grillby sighed and pulled the laptop out of her reach, setting it down in the chair on the other side of himself so she couldn’t grab it. “You’ve put this off for an hour now, Rolia. Enough’s enough. It won’t take but 10 minutes.” He coaxed, reaching over gently to roll up her sleeves enough to take off the bandages she had on, already having put on some gloves.
Rolia pouted but finally relented and let him, turning slightly in her seat to face him better, arms outstretched to let him change the bandages. After a minute of silence as he worked, she looked away guiltily and mumbled an apology. “I’m sorry…”
He shook his head, focusing on what he was doing for now so he didn’t look up at her. “I know that you want to focus on your work, but you really do need to get better about taking breaks. Especially right now, while you’re healing.”
“But breaks are boriiiing.” She pouted “I could spend the time being productive, and getting stuff done. Why just sit around?”
Grillby sighed in response before getting an idea, finishing the bandages finally. “How about we go play a game or something? You choose one and I can try playing it.” So she isn’t moving her arms too much, but he can keep her distracted since video games are far from his strong suit.
That seemed to work as she perked right up and nodded, laptop forgotten as she got up and went to the living room to pick out a game. He chuckled softly watching, saving her work and closing her laptop, following her out to see what she had for him to fail at.
